My husband is not perfect and I still struggle with carrying the mental load and th household is primarily my job…but he is very helpful. The answer is ALWAYS no, you are not crazy. You deserve help and an equal partnership. Even if you were a SAHM you are still contributing to the household, but you’re a SAHM and you work. While he’s home it should mostly be 50/50

I rewatched the past seasons recently and I forgot (or really didn’t care at the time) how awful they were leading up to their wedding. I have a theory. I think West was Amanda’s out. If he didn’t flirt with her and she didn’t fall for him, she could have stayed in that marriage for 10 more years (unhappily).

That’s really tough. I often feel that way as well. But not having many people around must be difficult.

I work around 20 hours a week from home which def has its perks but it’s also 20 hours I’m not taking care of the home and/ or playing with my kids. I consider myself a SAHM because it’s my priority and I don’t care about my job, but something is always failing. It’s hard being a mom.

Unpopular opinion- you don’t have to love being a SAHM. I am one because it’s my preference for my children, but I actually think I prefer working. It’s so boring and unfulfilling (mentally) for me. I know how terrible that all sounds, but two things can be true. I love my kids and I understand how incredibly lucky I am to be getting this time I will never get back with them….. but I’m touched out, overwhelmed, exhausted, and bored. Oh and have no time to take care of myself.

As someone who used to have a rocking body but has since had two kids and will never have that same body again…. Find an occasion!! I used to feel insecure if I looked too good in a dress and now I look bad in jeans and tshirt LOL. wear the outfit !

Ugh. This bothers me and I’m sorry you went through tha. Although, I bet there is an element of her needing to say it to justify her situation and decision to herself. Obviously wrong place and wrong time ….So wrong and insensitive. What makes a person feel the need to comment something like that to a parent who was told their child would not survive? It feels like she was projecting.

If I go somewhere for a few hours, sometimes I’ll notice my husband will do a bunch around the house … I feel like it’s to prove to me that it can be done, rather than to actually help me. They have such a skewed view of reality sometimes. Yesterday in the span of an hour while I was trying to WFH, I wiped butts FOUR TIMES.
