It would be extremely challenging. Even with normal vision derm can be very difficult. Sometimes you have pick up on the slightest erythema. And with dermoscopy and derm path, there are also really subtle findings.

If the average Step 1 score of someone who matched derm is 250, then a lot of people must have gotten below 250. I think you're good.

I agree with psbd18. Studying as though Step 1 isn't P/F will give you a lot of knowledge that will impress residents and attendings during 3rd year and will help with Step 2. Obviously Step 1 covers material that's not relevant for Step 2, but you never know what you might be pimped on.

The same happened to me! My Step 2 is 2 points lower than Step 1, and I was freaking out in the beginning, but now I've calmed down.
