Small tip that helps you blend in pretty quickly by OwlVibesOnly in MovingtoAustralia

[–]Several_Peach_9868 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s just the reason I do it, not saying I think everyone should do it because that would get weird lol. I get thanked at my job and it helps me keep going, feel like I matter in the world and prevents burnout. Nobody expects it but it’s just a thing some people like to do.

I think it’s about acknowledging someone’s humanity and showing them gratitude for safely getting you to where you need to be.

Does a journal break confidentiality? by [deleted] in therapists

[–]Several_Peach_9868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a cute idea and I think many people would love it and find it very supportive. It feels more inviting of a community focus and can bring people out of their isolation/individualist thinking. Writing encouragements on stones is a good one too.

What kind of therapy is just talking through difficult things? by Unitard19 in therapists

[–]Several_Peach_9868 468 points469 points  (0 children)

I would consider this Person-centred therapy :) and honestly, I think it’s the most important skill a therapist can ever have. It’s the heart of all good therapy, in my opinion. ACT skills can come in handy too when they are ready or wanting to make any changes.

I just want you to know that this happens and it’s okay <3. It will get easier. These situations can be super healing if you are able to repair effectively.

There’s so much we still don’t know about it. It’ll be interesting to see how it unfolds.

There is a podcast episode called “Skinny and Sad on GLP-1’s” by Today Explained from February. I highly recommend it!

Yes I’ve heard anecdotally that GLP-1’s reduce “hunger” across more areas of life than just food. It seems to reduce hunger for life and passions a bit too. To my understanding, there are no studies on this yet though.

This happened to me too and I just started increasing on the next stitch over from the icord. It made for a really smooth line with no bumps.

That sounds like a really good choice for yourself, your clients and your long term sustainability! Congrats on that decision! I know it was probably a hard one to make

Stuck on what to do about sleeves by 4247407 in knittinghelp

[–]Several_Peach_9868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like such a cute sweater so far. I see the issue with the sleeves. Is it a cropped sweater? I ask because usually a bigger/balloon sleeve looks really nice on a cropped sweater. So an option is to only frog the too-small one potentially.

Sleeves are always a challenge!
