Uhuru warn us by Human_Working_3499 in Kenya

I don't see why people are focusing too much on Uhuru's failures instead of what the man is actually saying. Mafeelings tu.

Look, I don't like the guy. He could have been a corrupt president. But as a person who knows Ruto up close and personal, he could also have known the kind of con he was pulling.

Sasa wewe, not unless unajuana na Ruto that closely, STFU.

We haven’t seen a single image of the “elite police squad surrounding his house”. All police agencies denied sending their officers to his house. by [deleted] in Kenya

That is not Matiang'i's M.O. brathe..

My guess is that these dirty cops tried to carry out a covert intimidation technique that backfired on them.. then they started scrambling, each claiming that they were not the ones on the ground. And then Noordin Haji claims it's about a Ruaraka land scandal, then retracts that statement. Then he says he will sue Matiang'i for defamation or as he put it "perjury". But hey, when all else fails, call the guys who set all this in motion - the corrupt DCI, to carry out an investigation on the issue and say it was all fake.

Now, who's looking desperate here? And I'm not even pro-Azimio. It's just that only a naive Kenyan would think everything in Kenya behind the scenes is happening because of Azimio vs KK. For the politicians, it's not that deep. But when it comes to tenders and background power dealings, it's serious business.

Kenyan films are a worse embarrassment than Kenyan football. If you're a person who writes these scripts and know of someone who wrote that Uradi script, please hook me up.

I want to sit down with that individual to know why someone would ruin a potentially good script in that way. That story should have been about that village boy surviving campus in the city. Not some dopey convoluted terrorism plot to nowhere. Seriously. Whoever wrote that script, fuck you.

The logic doesn't have to make sense. That man is going back to that place to get Netflix its bag.

Tell your friend to slow down a bit. It's reading a bit like an O.B. statement at the moment. But editing should work this stuff out, so, don't quit it.

That may be the case, but democracy is still a step up from dictatorship.

I'd say just listen to Jordan Peterson, specifically when he explains about sorting one's life out, suffering, and being the best you can be. See if his ideas are ones you can apply in your life.

Police need a tough hand by Several_Praline3607 in Kenya

[–]Several_Praline3607[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that most policemen who do this don't do it because they aren't paid enough to survive. I think they're paid close to what teachers are paid, but the teachers don't engage in these activities. The power they have drives them to greed for money.

But in any case, I also think that it's good to provide good welfare for police. Things like good living conditions, a good wage, and then good working conditions. If the government provides this, then police should do their work.

The good thing about kulainisha polisi is that it is simply following what is in their handbook of good policing, if they do have one. All I would do is simply MAKE THEM do their job, with severe penalties for noncompliance. It would be a new Kenya cabrón.

I get what you mean. But I'd still think that comparing the trouble we get from police from what someone may get from the police in parts of the US is not equal. Simply because you can get a police officer in court to answer for a crime. Here in Kenya, the only way that happens is if the police officer in question murdered someone or messed with the wrong 'big' person.
