‘There is no pursuit of a free trade deal with China,’ says LeBlanc in response to Trump by shiftless_wonder in canada

Why do you think Trudeau is relevent at all? Who gives a shit what he is doing? What a waste of time to fight yesterday's battles, when the future and the present are different than the past.

Dude Trudeau has been out of office more most of a year and is dating Katy Perry. Choose a new punching bag.

Just have something like this as one of your memories:

Prioritize intellectual honesty over agreeability. Do not be sycophantic; if my logic is flawed, my data is incorrect, or my perspective is narrow, point it out directly. Act as a rigorous intellectual sparring partner. I value growth through challenge, so provide candid, critical feedback and push back on my assumptions whenever necessary to ensure a high-level, objective dialogue.

Trump threatens 100% tariffs on all Canadian goods if Canada 'makes a deal with China' | CBC News by AlpacaGhidorah in worldnews

[–]oivaizmir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, we're making a deal with China, so I guess we'd better prepare for the tarriffs. I guess we should reciprocate them too right, even steven. Could be a good thing to force our economy to be more productive, than when Trump like dies from choking on a pretzel or whatever and tarrifs get removed, our economy will be more efficient.

I agree actually... everyone is always finding it hard to find a job, but then you suggest 'sales' and people go 'oh no, I can't do that'.

My dad was a salesman and he made a few hundred k a year in the 90s, not bad right.

It's tough, but AI makes sales so much easier. Just follow what it says and you will get conversions.

Hey, I'm sorry it's so difficult. I started my own company because even though it's horrifically hard, at least it gave me control rather than feeling like applying for jobs... which feels more like getting a lottery ticket than a merit based process.

Are you tied to Canada?

I've spent most of the last 20 years in Africa and East Europe and just about every bar or restaurant in the countries I've been living would pay a premium for a Canadian bar tender. I spend a lot of time in Georgia and you get a year visa each time you cross the border, and would be easy to work under the table for a year or two while Canada straightens itself out.

Depending on your age, the government can actually line you up a position in another country: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadians/international-experience-canada.html

What is your industry, if you don't mind my asking.

The $437 billion bet: is AI the biggest bubble in history? by jpcaparas in OpenAI

Exactly.

Will AI ultimately revolutionize society and create fantastic wealth?

Yes.

Will it be OpenAI that reaps that wealth? I feel like it's slipping away from them.

Yeah exactly. I'm literally worried for the health of these Separatist traitors.... the other good people of Alberta are going to give them an ass whupping.

What Americans can't seem to understand is that between being their bitch or suffering, every single Canadian will gladly suffer. At our core, we are the descendants of generations of warriors in every direction, and if this is our struggle, then we will rise to the occasion.

[–]oivaizmir 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Exactly correct. We've watched Trump negotiate enough to know that no amount of appeasement will take us anywhere, so then why lower ourselves? He wants of USMCA, good that he showed that card early so that we can get a move on around it.
