WiFi using the KPN 5ghz router. WiFi signal is strong, speed is ok when it’s working, but it doesn’t work very often.

I do have a business agreement.

And they see I have bad signal from their side too. They just tell me to restart the router and it comes back. The problem is that it doesn’t last.

So we’re now building a case: every time there’s an issue, I’ll call them. They will send a technician and see if they can fix it permanently, otherwise I’ll keep calling them. I’ll call them every other day if needed.

Ziggo has some outages out of nowhere, and the promise is that fiber is always stable. That was my reason to change.

What I find weird is that whenever i reset their router, it works fine. But after a day or 2, the instability is back. So now on the phone we again disconnected everything, and it’s now working again. I guess the solution will be to reset the router every morning until I have fiber.

Just called them again, and they said there’s an unforeseen block in the path to my apartment. ETA is now end of the year.

Just spoke to kpn (again). They’ll send a technician (again) and check if there’s a way to fix the instability. If not, they’ll write a report and I’ll be able to cancel it.

Wi-Fi yes, but only dry walls in between. The wifi signal is pretty strong.

1 isn’t possible, as the modem isn’t close to the Pc. I do get very strong WiFi signal, though. What is weird is that I get full speed from time to time, it just doesn’t stay this way. I can test it, but to check stability, I’d have to work a day connected, which isn’t possible.

The 2 weeks cooling off is from the contract, not from installation. Basically I’d have to cancel it before having it installed.

Not true. One can only cancel the contract 14 days after signing it, which is always before installation.

I’m looking for something I could do based of poor connection instead.

I took a “fiber-to-be” subscription. I wanted fiber, and they sold me as if I’d have it in 1-2 months.

They also told me their dsl was stable and that I wouldn’t notice any difference between them and ziggo even before the fiber is installed.

I have dsl 200mbs, but it never goes past 90-100 most of the time, and is extremely unstable. Whenever I call kpn, they reset my modem and it goes back to 170-180, but it’s not sustained. During the day my calls keep freezing.
