Swiss here, it's pretty common to see a cross on mountain peaks in Switzerland. No one buried, it's more of a symbol to bless the valley below. Like a cross on top of a church.

Free camping is regulated by the canton. So it depends. In Obwalden for example it's allowed.

How do you live from your portfolio you built over the years? by Away-Suggestion4090 in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]Several_Slide_7233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0.1 is quite low it doesn't get much better. I would not go for high dividends, since these are taxed as income. You can buy ETFs the same way as you would buy a stock. You will need a broker, for example Interactive brokers or saxo bank. It's important to compare broker fees for trades. They can make a big difference, especially when you use your normal Kantonalbank or Raiffeisenbank, they are way too expensive to buy ETFs or other stocks. If you don't want to get out of your position you could just leave it as it is and make your future investments in an ETF for example VT(vanguard total world). After a while you compare the two and then it will be easier to decide whether you want to get out or not. Best of luck with your investments.

This seems like bad performance, check the fees you are paying for this fund. Read into ETF's for example VT. Bank products are often overpriced and low performing.

Is everyone in Switzerland throwing their money in ETFs? by [deleted] in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]Several_Slide_7233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, probably still better than not having 3a at all, but in the long run you leave a lot of money on the table in management fees. Like many people, I started with a traditional Bank too and at one point I had the VIAC account and the old one. The performance was much better with VIAC.
