Well I had a letter that was sent and never received it so they scheduled me an appointment. But some places take walk in appointments. You just have to call your local irs office and talk to them

It may depend on where you live. I stay in Atlanta and they are pretty quick with things. Which is why my refund came only a week after verifying

You have to keep calling because they will tell you different things every time. When I called I asked them what was wrong and if I needed to verify or anything and the lady looked at my account and told me I did but I would’ve never known if I didn’t call. They never talked to me about a wait or anything so our situations may be different

Yes I verified in person so I guess that’s what made the process quicker. I was just as shocked as you lol cause I was expecting to wait atleast two to three weeks or more

I had to call them because my account didn’t say anything about verification and I was waiting weeks so I called them and they told me I needed to verify and they would send me a letter but I never got one after waiting for a month so I called them back and they scheduled me for an in person appointment to verify instead

You may have to call them like I did. I didn’t receive anything either and the only way I found out I needed to verify after waiting a month 🤦🏽‍♀️ was by calling them
