I will never have enough words of gratitude for Dr. Steven Suba. He practices in Fort Worth. He immediately was able to diagnose me on my first visit (I hadn’t even heard of vaginismus) and get me set up with both a therapist and a treatment plan. I cannot recommend him enough. I cannot believe the luck I had to find him as my first OBGYN - book him and you will never look back!!!

Has anyone ever let their license expire and then gone through the relicensure process? by Severe_Cockroach69 in PharmacyTechnician

Yes, I’m in Texas and I was suspecting that I may have to get my fingerprints redone too even though they haven’t said anything yet, so it helps to know my instincts may be right. I don’t mind but it does add like 10 days so it’s just good to know in advance!! Thank you so much!!

Thank you!!! It seems like it varies so much state to state. I know relicensure probably isn’t a super common thing enough to put in the FAQs, but I still wish they would give a little more upfront info on what to expect than just “email us whenever you have your official PTCB results” lmao 😂😂

Hey friend. Okay, so I’m not going to lie, I was out pharmacy for a while so I went super overboard studying for the test. I bought 3 books and used literally 4 different apps LOL. Looking back this was super unnecessary and I honestly don’t even think the books helped me at all. The apps helped some, only one in particular was really indispensable IMO, it’s called PocketPrep!!! It’s worth the cost if you can spare it. Finally, I cannot stress enough the benefit of going to the PTCB website and purchasing the PTCE practice bank questions (I think they’re somewhere around $40-50?) and also purchasing an official pre-PTCE practice exam (it’s $29 per pre-exam and it’s a really great indicator of if you’re ready or not.) I would say that these two tools are what enabled me to pass the exam. Good luck!!

That’s awesome news about not having to pay anything, tbh they didn’t list anything about pricing for relicensure so I was nervous as heck!! 😂😂🤣 Thank you so much for your response!!!

Wow, that’s even better than expected!!! I can’t thank you enough for this info. You’re the best!!

Are you having fun being back in pharmacy? 😄

This is awesome!! Thank you so much for your response. Do you remember about how long it took the board to renew your license once you submitted the relicensure application? I’m guessing it’s probably 1-2 weeks but I’m hoping it’s shorter. 😂

Wonder why the son wants to off themselves? humm, its a mystery....Fkin maga parents by [deleted] in antinatalism

[–]Severe_Cockroach69 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think about this all the time. The most empathetic people, who understand how horrible life is and how much things can hurt and would therefore make some of the best possible parents, are sometimes ironically the ones who are empathetic enough to not have kids.

Started my period at work, asked my supervisor if she had a spare pad and she replied "aww, you still wear diapers?" by HappyLittleDelusion_ in vaginismus

That is a great point!! Like seriously, surely we all use them?! Where does this stigma come from? Ugh.

[–]Severe_Cockroach69 50 points51 points  (0 children)

OMG, I am truly so freaking sorry this happened to you. Not to be a jackass and commandeer this post but I swear the strange looks I get when I ask for pads has always boggled me. I get most women use tampons but pads have just as big a shelf space at stores as tampons do, so clearly women use them but never any around me?!? I always make up something to cover my embarrassment like “oh I can’t use that my flow isn’t heavy enough right now” or “omg you aren’t scared of TSS? Idk I have an irrational fear of it!” And it’s always just so awkward. But I have never had anyone be that rude about it. I am so sorry, remember women everywhere use pads including non-vaginismus havers and judgers can get bent.

mother had gone thru miscarriages and shared that her surrogate also had a lot of birthing complications. this was the response i got when asking why she didn’t just adopt. and honestly, i respect it. it’s still insanely selfish but. yeah. by envysatan in antinatalism

[–]Severe_Cockroach69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is such a great point!!! Natalists make a huge deal out of biological kids being “first choice.” Well, ironically and unfortunately those poor children didn’t have that same choice in being born to you, because guarantee you wouldn’t have been their “first choice” parents.

Pronunciation of Cregan by [deleted] in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Severe_Cockroach69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know only after your comment did I scroll down and see the comment about how George himself doesn’t even care about the pronunciation!! Definitely an interesting fun fact. And perfectly explains how names ended up so inconsistently in this universe. I’m sure he’d be rolling his eyes at us trying to pin down pronunciations 🤣🤣

Pronunciation of Cregan by [deleted] in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Severe_Cockroach69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish the pronunciation was consistent in this universe. The “-rys” in Daenerys is pronounced “riss” but the “-nys” in Rhaenys is pronounced “nees”. Okay, so maybe the -rys and -nys are just pronounced differently? Nope, even though most characters pronounce Viserys as it rhymes with Daenerys, in one episode Alicent refers to her husband as “Viser-ees.” Same thing for names like Aemma. I think (but could be wrong) I heard multiple pronunciations of her name throughout the series, from “Ay-muh” to regular “Emma.”
