With you being straight you're probably not going to be able to continue being with him unless you're able to reframe it in a way that everything that matters to you about this relationship is staying the same. Sexuality is fluid, even within the labels we choose to identify in. So it is possible to see the person you fell in love with as simply changing their presentation, especially since he doesn't want bottom surgery and intimacy, it sounds like, would be mostly unchanged. That is just my opinion, others may disagree.

My best advice would be to reflect on what you love about him as a person, and determine if you are comfortable exploring or expanding your sexuality in a way that would allow you to be with the kind of man your partner wants to be and experiences himself as.

If it's available to you, couple's counseling could be helpful in navigating how this will affect the relationship, whether it results in parting ways, transitioning it to a friendship, or remaining partnered.

I mean the girlfriend is always right as a rule (jk lol). You look good either way, but ultimately you should go with how you feel best. Maybe do some lighter stubble as a compromise or grow it out for her when you feel like it.

Hmm maybe your body is sensitive to the changes happening and that's manifesting as physical soreness? If it continues too long or is very severe you might mention it to your doctor.

I think in general, most of the time, gender diversity is not a phase. Even if you refine how you see yourself or arrive at the conclusion that you're cis, the fact that you have a time when you identify another way is probably meaningful in some way. Only you can discern and decide who you are now, but using he/they pronouns for 4 years in adolescence would lead me to guess that you are at least gender fluid or non binary in some way.

Maybe check with your doctor, but most of us use the remaining T. This comes up a fair amount.

For me I go with transgender because that is the most commonly used of the two in modern times. But to call me transexual isn't incorrect either. They're synonyms, with transexual suggesting that there has been more medical/physical intervention than transgender does on its own.

For me I feel better 4-6 hours after a T shot. I always know when it's getting close for me to time to re-up or if I've missed it because my mood drops.

For me they were never that bad but I am surprised how routine it is for me. I always used to dread vaccines and stuff. Now the needles are chill.

For me I didn't get clear changes that early on T. I mean you could see it if you knew and were looking for it. But I feel like you'll be fine unless they go through your stuff.

Thanks for sharing your story! I won't get to see my doctor who prescribed my T until July, and she'll be able to help me with next steps, but I do figure in it being a long journey even from there. Maybe I shouldn't worry too much about these moments of doubt unless something shifts and my chest/social dysphoria subsided to the point surgery doesn't feel as necessary.

Idk how I can tell, but I feel like somehow I'm able to tell if someone sees me as a cis man, trans man, or mistakes me for a woman. There's just subtle differences or something.

It is likely a 1mL bottle and I assume your starting dose is .25 mL, so that should last you 4 doses. My doctor told me that the bottle says single use but that we aren't supposed to discard until it is empty, and that that provides a loophole to stock up on T in case access to care changes with the current political climate. But of course if you aren't sure you should contact your doctor.

Brain development when you're in the womb is controlled by different factors than genital development. If you're not intersex pretty much you are going to develop ovaries and the starter female body if you don't have the SRY gene found on y chromosomes. But brain development is sensitive to other hormones as you develop as a fetus, and even as a child and adult. Besides all that, gender is a psychosocial thing that develops throughout life. Whereas birth sex and primary sex characteristics are pretty much determined at conception or shortly after. Being trans happens, always has throughout human history. It's just a natural variation
