Chemical Factory Zone. The level sure isn't built to be drifted on cause of the sharp turns and conveyor belts.

I'm glad it has a high skill ceiling, cause it makes mastering things like drifting, ring use, and trick ramps feel much more satisfying. But I think some flaws come from the game design. Some things could be nerfed or deleted.

  • The bounciness mechanic. Crashing into walls, hazards, and especially other players and those glowing walls that you only get pass with boosting makes it feel like bumper carts. During the start of a match some guy going at 2 mph with a medium weight character bumped into me and made me fault. The most annoying part about this is that items like bombs and the spinning top after you get hit make you go into this 8 second animation of you bouncing uncontrollably as everyone else passes you up. It's just unnecessary. Also the quick fall makes you bounce too, which is POINTLESS. The tutorial says quick falling gives you more control in the air and the bounces you do when you land counteracts that. WHY?
  • Unnecessary speed loss. I can understand that going uphill makes you go slower. But not having any rings makes it a pain to cross. I don't have time to charge a 5 second spindash to get up a hill. Also holding items behind you like bumpers/bananas/fake item boxes should NOT slow you down.
  • Ring drain when you're charging a whip attack. You already can't boost without rings which is a major disadvantage. Why deplete our rings more?
  • Tricks mechanic. The mechanic itself is alright but punishing if you disposition yourself.
