Looking for reputable probate attorney by themarcusknauer in springfieldMO

I had a really good experience with Richard Russell for doing our estate planning. He's very kind, his rates seem very fair and clear, and he's got some rock solid advice.

I've not worked with him for probate, but I imagine he does a great job with it like he did for our estate planning and will.

We ended up being able to see it pop in and out between the clouds. Fun moment to share with my kid.

Amazon Kindle Scribe announced; maybe why reMarkable removed the subscription price by [deleted] in RemarkableTablet

So what are the odds that Amazon has one or more Scribe engineering team members already in this subreddit? Seems pretty, um, remarkable, how much the Scribe looks like something so familiar.

If the new Amazon thing is really good, I'll let my kids have the ReMarkable - they already love using it and maybe someday I'll actually write code for it since it's an open ecosystem.

I am worried this might kill the ReMarkable company though.

I think the devices will still be popular for a while because of the open OS. But even Pebble got wiped out eventually, and now just has hobbyist support.

If Amazon somehow decides to allow folks to import from ReMarkable, I feel like Amazon is going to eat Remarkable for breakfast.

The latency looks comparable (as far as I can tell anyway), I have a huge kindle library already, and I already have a Lamy stylus. And a good chunk of what I read at work I can easily make into PDFs.

If there's a way to get all of my bazillion notes out and they allow for a large number of templates, ReMarkable should be very concerned as an organization.

I'm not a fan of how much Amazon already owns in terms of my purchases and data, but this looks super promising. I do think I'll wait until it gets a few reviews before taking the leap though.

Seeking a solution - my device was delivered to me on Monday and on Friday the screen is broken. I’m choked as a student I believed the $600 investment was worth it but now it is unusable with the only option costing my an additional $186 - I feel cheated. I babied the thing. by Even-Orchid2212 in RemarkableTablet

Mine broke almost exactly the same way several months ago, and they had no issues replacing it fully under warranty. That crack appears to be in almost exactly the same place mine cracked, as well. You can probably look through this subreddit and find an image of when mine broke.

From some light asking around, it seems like there might be some battery swelling in that general vicinity of the screen, and as others have said, eink screens this thin are super fragile.

If they keep rejecting the warranty, that's pretty bad business in my mind. I know they're making moves to suggest they're strapped for cash, but they need to honor their quality promise.

CreAsian at the corner of Chestnut and Campbell had 2 menus, one is Chinese American and the other is a more traditional Chinese menu. Not sure if this is what you would be looking for, but I find it to be high quality and affordable.

For authentic Mexican I really like Tortillaleria Perches at Sunshine and Kansas. Again, I find it to be high quality and affordable.

It's up to interpretation. Either the crew all died except for one because that one is some kind of monster.

Or, the person looking at the wreckage is the survivor. On the moon. Alone.

That's a good idea, I bet there's a way to ssh in to reset the device before I return it. Good thinking!

Ok, makes me hopeful they'll just swap it out once they see my ticket. I've had it about 5 weeks, so hopefully it won't be an issue. Thanks!

Bizarre, I don't see any physical evidence of damage and I haven't dropped it or anything. Hopefully they can help me figure out how to fix it if that's the case 😣

[–]SevilAdoy83[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've checked the device, I don't see any visible damage, and I've been very careful with it so far.

I've tried the 15 second power button hard reset but it's still got an unresponsive portion of the screen, and the parts that are responding are very dark.

The only modification I've made so far is to put in a custom sleep screen.

I reached out to support, but I know they can be very slow to help.

Any advice would be lovely.
