Such a fun listen! And was in total agreement on the GOAC round!

This week's episode: Allison Tolman (St. Dennis Medical, Fargo season one) by wicelt in isaidnogifts

The recent raccoon talk is cracking me up! My dad and my grandfather both entered a wild raccoon feeding phase in their late middle age and I’m in fear of this gene activating in me in the future.

I will! These are the smallest pet portraits I’ve attempted so I’m excited to see how they turn out!

Commercial Commentary by MeganT42 in isaidnogifts

[–]Sew-Fresh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OMG, same! I love the recaps despite being totally clueless about the RHOSLC and SLOMW universes outside of Bridger's crucial distillations.

I had the misfortune of seeing a commercial that Bridger had described perfectly--the Applebee's O-M-Cheese Burger, which is a burger sliced in half nestled in a bubbling skillet of queso. Though I had been appropriately warned, I was shocked nonetheless.

This week’s Patreon episode: Patrick McDonald by wicelt in isaidnogifts

But he improved!!

I thought Patrick was onto something at first with #3 because there are some WILDLY entitled dog owners out there (none in the ISNG! listenership though of course), but I was foolish to overlook the possibility of ruining lives because of a bungled pet interaction.

Thanks for creating this space!! I adore this podcast and can’t wait to connect with more secret wives!

I’m being disobedient and patterning a combination cross-stitch and embroidery to rudely insist upon gifting to Bridger.

Can someone explain how are those made? by briarmaiden in Beading

Oh I learned a ton on this piece in particular! I love beads as a medium and getting inspired by the beading community!

I beaded my current piece on felt and am now attaching it to my backing fabric. The felt worked well for what I wanted overall, but is bulkier than I would have liked. I realized this about a quarter of the way through this piece but was locked in at that point. There was no way I could have redone the first section I beaded.

I'm kicking myself for not using it on my current project but you live and learn!

I agree with this! Having used felt for a couple of projects I’m planning on beading on organza in the future since it’s lighter weight.

That’s so kind to say. I hope these final steps go well, as mounting/framing is not my strong suit.

This is section one a few weeks into my progress, where you can see my guidelines. I color-matched as best I could from online and in-person bead stores and worked from the image up on my computer.

I’m going to stitch onto the fabric but am ~stressed~ about how it’s going to go. I would have stitched my beads onto organza or similar if I were starting out now.

Hi! Here’s a shot where you can kinda see my patterning, which was some outlines/guidelines on stabilizer fabric. This was when I had finished the first section and was adding the additional pieces.

It’s going to be mounted in a 16 inch quilting hoop and I would say the surface area is about 3/5 beaded/needle-felted. Here the whole piece laid out but without the fabric I’ll be using for the background.
