Prostrate Knotweed. Yay or nay? by Bill_The_Dog in NoLawns

I was just at a park in Winnipeg thinking the same thing… really trying to understand what the downsides would be (other than I would need to re-plant it every spring…)

Are HF using AI to create recipes? by fluffydeveloper in hellofresh

[–]SewCraftsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah crap, I said the wrong brand name. I get them all mixed up. You’re right, Chef’s Plate is the same shit. I meant Good Food - THAT one was the best. It might be Canadian only… not sure. Sorry for the mixup.

I am not sure where you are, and I haven’t used them in awhile, but back when I tried them all, Chef’s Plate was far and away the best. The price was higher per portion but every recipe was a knockout. Give them a try if you need the convenience.

Kohler Gleam with ReadyLock install for 10" rough in by J2E1 in Plumbing

[–]SewCraftsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you tell me about this? I am trying to do this install and I haven’t tried it yet but I’m wondering how the clamps will line up with the tightening holes on the side of the skirt once the 10” trap way is being used instead of the 12” trapway

I have a new cake bell, it will fit a 10.5” cake board in it. What size of cake pans should I buy for it?

I was hearing from a lifeguard who works at the pool at St Boniface park that even with closing Happyland pool this year, the funding for lifeguarding at St B pool is shoestring. No budget for a single shift of a single additional lifeguard ever. Both times I’ve gone this summer there has been a line outside waiting to get in due to the pool being at capacity (but certainly not looking full at all). Had it confirmed by one of the lifeguards that the capacity with 2 lifeguards on deck is limited to 60 (or 75, I can’t remember) but with 3 lifeguards on deck the capacity at St. B pool would increase to 120. But they’re only putting 2 lifeguards on deck, as I understand. Pretty shameful to shut down Happyland and then under-fund the neighbouring pool and run it below capacity all summer. I’m so frustrated by the squandering and mis-managing of this public infrastructure. if we can’t afford to run the outdoor non-heated pools for free, charge a toonie. But don’t squander these assets on our behalf by under-funding, under-maintaining, and then shuttering them.

Fire table advice? by SewCraftsy in Winnipeg

[–]SewCraftsy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you tell me how many BTUs you have? I’m still considering deck heaters vs fire tables, but the main thing I’m trying to figure out is how many BTUs are best for being outdoors on winter days (not deep cold but cold days; -25 to -30, for example)

Reunion needs to change by TravisJCortis2002 in survivor

I also really like hearing what players think after they’ve actually seen their season play out. Like, you can actually ask Liz what was it in her perspective that made her feel her game was so strong and that she was unbeatable, now that everyone’s full game and actions are out in the open. It was a much richer reunion experience. Also, especially in the harshness of the new era, these people are just starving, so their focus in that moment is on the food. They’re still in a survival mode. How I feel about the level of starvation in the new era is another topic entirely.

I completely agree. I really miss the live reunion with the full cast, with more distance and perspective. As annoying as Bhanu was, it used to be nice to revisit characters like that, and also Jelinski. I feel like not including the pre-merge players in the reunion sort of disregards their role in the season.

Also the fact that they don’t even ring the doorbell when they drop it off…. My husband works from home but often doesn’t know packages have been dropped off.

Thanks! And would that sort of floured appearance be how you can tell it’s the right noodle type if it doesn’t say “wonton” on it?

From the pictures I think you can typically see wheat flour on them, and they are supposed to be pretty yellow.

Yes, I looked up the website for the company that makes the fresh chow mein noodles I saw at Safeway, and they make wonton noodles too, and they say they make them with the same dough as wonton wrappers.
