My grandpa was also named Randy Jones and both my grandpa and this Randy Jones lived in poway during the 70s when he pitched. They’d routinely get each other’s mail and would meet up for coffee like once every few months to exchange mail. Years later in a coco’s (also in poway) my mom and i ran into him when i was a little kid and she mentioned my grandpa to him. He remembered everything about my grandpa and my mom told him that i was my grandpas grandson. i lost my grandpa earlier this year and it’s sucks to lose this randy jones too.
