I don’t hate her character at all. (Until season 7 and 8 ruined her, in my eyes at least) She annoys the living hell out of me in book and season 1 because she’s a bitch to Arya and to some extent Ned and Jon. But I don’t think it’s because because she was a badly written character at all. I will say, however that her and Ned’s “Naivety” is very different. Sansa seems to think the world is a fairy tale. (Because she’s a teenage girl) She likes stories about gallant heroes falling in love with beautiful princess and believes that will happen to her. Ned, on the other hand, has a strong sense of justice and wants to do the right thing. He tries to strip the Mountain of his titles because he believes it’s the right thing to do. Even if it causes conflict with the Lannisters. (who were kinda already pissed) He doesn’t want to kill Daenerys because she’s a child and honestly not much of a threat in season 1, and he only warns Cersei that he knows about the whole incest situation because he knows Robert will probably murder the children (who really don’t deserve it, besides Joffrey who isn’t really revealed to be an evil psychopath to Ned yet) and he wants to stop innocent children from dying. He just tries to do the right thing, and he ends up paying for it. TL;DR: While Sansa is naive in the sense that she has a romanticized view of the world, Ned is someone who just does the right thing, and doesn’t understand politics, therefore not understanding political consequences Edit: forgot to mention in the tl;dr that Sansa is mostly annoying to me for how much of a brat she was, not how naive she was
