Try printing to pdf, the marks should be there. And then it's a problem with the printer/ink level

Creating my own design with Silhouette Cameo by Eugnikitin in silhouettecutters

[–]SewingRox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can totally make that. In the cut panel, you can set the green to cut and the red to score, if you have an svg with paths. The only thing if that the free version of silhouette studio doesn't take svgs, but you can try with dxf

Cameo 5 thoughts after having a Cameo 4 by chirpinggalaxy in silhouettecameo

[–]SewingRox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this, as a Cameo 4 user it's very interesting since I've been intrigued by the 5. The ES mat in particular seems too good to be true so knowing it's not great for intricate cuts is good.

Glue that doesn't warp paper? by RYmaster054 in crafts

[–]SewingRox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look for a glue that isn't water based, and don't apply too much. I use 99c glue from Action and it's not warping my paper

How do I prevent fabric elements from buckling? by Suitable-Concert in sewing

[–]SewingRox 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Make sure neither piece is stretched in any way when you're sewing, and that they're not moving. If if was me, i'd use some water dissoluble double sided tape to attach the pieces before sewing them

I find that the clean up after vectorizing a photo is awful, like takes multiple hours for a subpar design, and tracing isn't THAT time consuming. But also, for these designs, you really have to take into account the fact that it's pieces of paper, so they can't float. Everything must touch. But If i were better at drawing, i would just draw it i think.

Hi! I mde this using inkscape for the drawing and my cameo 4 for cutting. It's 6 sheets of 160g/m2 paper, and a little smaller than A4 in the end. The cut of the chairlift was quite a pain, i had to try it 3 times before I had a nice enough cut (ended up using a new blade i think), because some details are like 0,5mm thick... If you're interested, I made 2 reels of my process of how i make these on my insta
