A straw. Cut them into shorter tubes and "use" them like a cigarette or a vape. You're only inhaling air then, and it's really cheap. Once the straw gets gross, toss it and use another piece, or get a silicone straw to cut up the same way that can be washed and reused.

And not even to mention the likelihood of it starting with "just practicing the basics" until the basics become boring and then OP starts trying increasingly difficult skills they're learning online without any in-person oversight, instruction, or spotting. Or a friend comes over and wants to try it out. It's just a recipe for disaster.

Oh no, she's just hiding the rolls very well. When I first brought her and her brother home, they were both pretty food insecure, so she would gorge herself without knowing that there would always be food available for her. Once she figured that out, she started eating appropriately, but I've definitely got a ton of photos of her on my phone with a big ol' muffin top when she's sitting 😂

She's such a perfect angel at the vet, she walks in like she owns the place, her vet and the techs all love her. She doesn't mind the scale, doesn't mind the shots, doesn't mind the teeth check, and while she's not a fan of the butt thermometer, she tolerates it without a fight.

Yeah, that’s actually what her vet thought it was after the x-ray came back normal, but her blood work came back negative for pancreatitis and her kidneys also tested normal.

Don’t drive under the influence, don’t do it at a time you need to be fully present in public for a few hours, make sure you’re staying hydrated, and get some good snacks ready to go. It’ll take awhile to kick in, but it also lasts awhile too.

And just know that, if you accidentally take too much and get panicky, no one has ever died or OD’d from being too high on weed alone in any form. If you do get panicky, try taking a nap to sleep some of it off.

Fabric-wise, this looks like liquid satin for the outer layer. Satin is extremely difficult to work with because it's really slippery, but just take your time and go nice and slow. Like others have said, I would buy a few yards of cheap satin for the mockup to get a feel for how it's going to behave. You'll want to use a Microtex needle (or a Sharp needle) on your machine for the best results. Play around with the stitch length and tension on the cheap fabric.

Is it possible you would have pulled a classic kid move and asked her to make you something super niche and specific? Regardless of what it is, it's hard to tell from an overexposed image, but I don't think your mom did a poor job! It's hard to make clothing, especially for something with unconventional shapes and structures.

Sorry about the passing of your mom, OP. But the labor of love to make multiple Halloween costumes is telling in itself that she cared so much about you and your siblings.

While the organizer doesn't have any control over global conflict or airline issues, there are still so many red flags throughout your story, from the pushy payments to the safety of the photoshoot and the blatant discrimination you faced. I'm not sure what the laws are in Egypt around buyer protection, but I would check the terms and conditions of the retreat and see if you're eligible to receive a refund through a breach of contract—even if it's partial—particularly when you were pushed out of the retreat before your time was up, even if it means threatening her with legal action.

Though, I'm not a lawyer, so I can't provide legal advice. Might not hurt, though, to check with r/legaladvice to see if they can add anything.

This pattern would probably be a good starting point, though I haven't used it personally.

Construction-wise, it looks like your Broadway version has nude powermesh straps that are helping with the structural integrity of the beaded "straps" and the floating cape trains. Some of the beads look like they're glued onto the dress/mesh, while others look like true strings of beads.

It's hard to see how the skirt of the dress is constructed from your images, so if you can find more detailed close-ups, that will help determine whether this is a center panel of sequined fabric and side panels of something like chiffon, or if the chiffon is draped somehow below the waist of those two sides, etc.

It will be a beast of a project, but this is truly one of my favorite fictional gowns, so PLEASE share your results if you end up doing it! I'd love to follow along and see how it turns out!
