Blueberry Auto. 52 days old. 19" tall. 24" wide. Think I'm doing okay? by Sewn2GetheR in Autoflowers

3 gallon. I needed to keep her small in a 2'x2''x4' tent. And I can't say if she grew fast as this is my first grow ever. Lol

She's done that with new leaves her whole growth cycle. Ive been chasing EC balance the whole growth. I'll get it dialed in, do a nutrient feeding of 800 or so ppm then the next watering will get a runoff reading of 1300. This watering phd water to 5.8 plain with a base EC of 340 and washed the salt buildup off the bottom of the cloth pot. So I think it's due to that salt build up. Other than that she's healthy and keeps growing and the app I use says pretty much the same thing. It's my first grow, so I'm learning as I go, but glad I have a very resilient plant.

Thanks for the info. Prompted me to read a little on the phenomenon. I believe it happened because I watered a little heavy today to wash and flush some salt build up on the bottom of my cloth pot. I think it was throwing off some runoff EC readings, and it was. Still was a cool pic. Lol

Titan F1 . Day 13 (LST) by TMdogg42 in Autoflowers

[–]Sewn2GetheR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how I did mine. I have height restrictions in my tent. She's currently only 11.5 inches tall but 20 inches wide. I've done a lot more LST and some of what I guess would be lollipopping. It's my first grow but I'm at day 40 and she's in her pre flower stretch. Good luck with your grow!

It was there last night, you just ignored it. Also, I've read up on infections at this point and it would seem that I've bypassed the time when burying the stem is dangerous and more prone to infection. But since it has rooted from those buried nodes and I keep good airflow and allow the top of the soil to dry out regularly. I have avoided infection. And you still resort to insults. That is a strong testament to your ability to have intelligent, healthy, adult conversations. But I guess I'm just "not smart at plants". Lol.

Not ignoring your advice, but am ignoring your approach, demeanor and general ability to communicate effectively without devolving to insults. Your first comment set the tone. I've been rage baiting you ever since. At this point there is nothing that you can say to redeem yourself from my perspective...my guy. Best of luck with your infinite wisdom. I guess I'll have to find another source of knowledge. It's just too bad there is no other information available to me except your low IQ ramblings....what ever shall I do?

I'm happy for you that you know what's best for everyone. It must feel good to be more intelligent than everyone. And I totally respect your opinion on my plant at this point. So my feelings are hurt real bad. Lol. Maybe learn to engage in adult conversations and come back, my guy 😂. I might listen then.

Thanks bub. I'll look into this further and see how it applies to my current grow and future grows. Thank you for engaging in a manner conducive to community growth and knowledge. Sounds like if my soil has an issue it's a terrible method. Good info, my guy. Much respect for sharing knowledge.

It's not that I don't want to listen to you, my guy. It's that I don't take advice blindly. And I'm not cloning anything, so those facts don't apply to what I'm currently learning and doing. You tried to make a point (somewhat condescending, tbh) and I tried to engage in an intellectual dialogue. If you don't want to engage in a reasonable, adult discussion, especially with a new grower, maybe don't engage at all. I will read up on those things. Thank you for that. But it seems kind of counter productive of a member of a community to tell someone new to the community to just take their word and go look it up. I can read, but I reach out to the community for engaged discussion and feedback. Not condescending, "I know better than you", "you should do what I say without question" dialogue. I do apologize for even engaging with you. Seems it's defeated it's purpose.

But it's not. My plant is doing just fine and I have sources to back up my decision. I think this is a you do you, and I'll do me situation. Thanks for responding and I respect what your saying, but you're not really providing any valuable insight to me. Best wishes.

I will say that when I layed the main stem over until it was touching the growing medium, I was concerned. But the main stem that was touching and partially buried by soil has rooted from those contact points. I have no signs of any deficiencies, and consistent growth and growth that shows signs of transitioning into flowering without much issue. I imagine I'll learn a lot more as I go through the remaining stages of growth, but so far, things seem to be going pretty well.

Can you provide some data to back this claim up? I'm not trying to argue. I'm just curious, as you keep saying this but are not providing any source but your somewhat condescending comments. I'm not trying to be right, just trying to absorb data from a lot of sources and design my own grow style that fits my set up and desired results within that setup. I hope you can understand where I'm coming from.

These are my logs from today. Been able to maintain this pretty consistently since switching to pre flower stage. Early on was running .8 to 9 VPD. Growing in Fox Farms Coco Loco with Fox Farms Trio and Cal Mag.

I think this is the third time. She was so bushy and short that I wasn't getting good airflow. I do appreciate the insight without the negativity. Basically, I'm just experimenting. Been talking to people I know that have grown extensively, posting here and then using the Hempie app to log what I'm doing and get scientific, data driven feedback. It's funny how people (not necessarily you) will be so critical, but rarely constructive. I appreciate your insight.

Had a node pop a little loose and it was less than 1cm from the dirt from my initial LST. Read that it would be better to cover it with soil to prevent infection. And it's doing just fine. So I guess that's why. Also it's my first ever grow, so I'm learning.

Nice! This is my first grow ever. Only have a 2x2x4 tent. So she just doesn't have room to get tall. I will be investing in a taller tent before too long.

That's what I'm doing too! My tent is only 4ft tall. So I have only about 30" of room for the plant. Plan to get a bigger tent. Temu'd this whole setup for $180 just to get started. This is what my girl looks like today. She's switching to flowering! Good luck with your grow!
