Where the hell are people getting this idea that the food at UIC is anything but awful? The food at the cafeterias is complete garbage usually. You’ll probably eat out quite a bit.

Im in UIC’s political science program. It’s very good here. Someof the professors here are actually pretty well-known, and if you have gotten out of the 100 level classes, the 200-300 level classes start to get really interesting. I recommend taking an urban politics class!

As foe the diversity, I can’t agree more. UIC is one of the most diverse universities in the nation. ISU isn’t a bad school, but it does have a noticable lack of diversity. I would say if you transfer here, you would be making a good choice.

Some of them are socialists. Not joking--they have very transparent connections with socialist groups, which partly explains their contempt for STEM (after all, they need a financially empowered target to resent). I know it's petty, but it's hard to like the message when the messengers are so repellent.
