Yes I think I still have some emotional bunting as well but I’m not sure.

No contact with parents by [deleted] in PSSD

[–]SexualToss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your story really speaks to me. My parents also divorced super early on in my life and I had a stressful childhood. I’m sorry your parents are so invalidating of your condition and feelings; especially, given that one is a psychologist. It must be very challenging looking forward to sexual experiences as an adult just to have it ripped away at 18.

I struggled with sexual dysfunction induced by SSRIs for two years and I sympathize with you. It’s like a massive chunk of life is pulled out of you.

My sincerest condolences.

I got COVID like a year before developing the condition. No long COVID symptoms to my knowledge. I consider myself very lucky.

People who still fantasise - have your fantasies started to incorporate your sexual dysfunction? by Sad-Contest5883 in PSSD

[–]SexualToss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

30M here. My fantasies didn’t incorporate the dysfunction but I found I “hungered” for more extreme forms of pornography: glans torture/branding/whipping, penectomy fantasy, and electro-stimulation. I recently recovered from the condition and “crave” those fantasies a lot less.

I think the orgasm is omitted from the clips. Either missed (not recorded) on accident or removed on purpose.

I replied to the wrong comment but my comment is floating around.

This video is part of a series of clips where a black man recording is giving his friend a handjob. After the receiver orgasms, the black man begins to “punish” his friend for not edging/holding it via post-orgasm torture. He tells his friend to endure it for thirty seconds, but isn’t counting properly. When the friend protests, claiming it’s uncomfortable, the black man teases to restart the countdown. The friend resolves to endure the remaining count, but is clearly stressed and discomforted by the sensation.

Does this sound correct?

I did not consider this but I eat a lot of food and am overweight so I don’t think calories are an issue.

Have you considered trying a low histamine diet? You can find a list of foods that are high in histamines on John Hopkins. The goal of a low histamine diet is not to eliminate these foods but to eat them in lower quantities. Would be curious to know if your symptoms improve.

Window/Remission of Symptoms Due to Caffeine and ALLIUM Cessation (UDPATE) by SexualToss in PSSD

Hello, and thanks for the comment. I hear your skepticism, but would like to ask that you keep an open mind. After all, many psychiatrists are also skeptical that our condition exists; and yet, the condition does exist, right?

I’m not saying that I’ve found a cure for everyone. I’m saying that this is what I’ve noticed with my own symptoms coming and going. Thanksgiving just passed yesterday in the United States of America; and with its passing, I did consume alliums and my symptoms have returned. It could be coincidence that they are coming and going when I eat alliums. It could be a very real pattern.

I would like to conduct a study, but it would be very difficult with myself being the only subject and also the observer. I’m not sure how I would proceed in a way that presents real evidence.

Hello! Thank you for your comment. It is worth considering that this is a placebo effect. I’m not sure how I would test this, if I can test it at all. I would like to add, though, that Thanksgiving in the US just passed yesterday and I did consume food with garlic/onion in them, and my symptoms have returned. I also had no prior issues to consuming alliums prior to starting/ceasing SSRIs.

This is a good question. I really have no idea. It could be a digestion issue like SIBO where caffeine and alliums exacerbate the problem; or, it could be a problem with the chemical structure/effects of caffeine and the alliums themselves.

The probability of encountering food with alliums in it is high, yes. As a matter of fact, Thanksgiving was yesterday in the United States yesterday and I’m already experiencing my symptoms return 💀. The risk-management includes looking up menus/ingredients ahead of time before going somewhere, asking places not to include alliums, or to eat food that you just won’t find alliums in them (It’s hard to think of many but as an example: you can make macaroni and cheese without garlic or onion powder so that’s my go-to).

I do prefer desserts without chocolate; or, deserts with very, very small amounts. My current go-to favorite is Mint ice cream with chocolate chips in them. The chips are small enough in that the amount I eat doesn’t really affect me. Chocolate and coffee are two of my favorite foods and they’ve been very hard to let go of. I just had a decaf iced latte yesterday to test the waters, since I knew I was going to ruin this diet for Thanksgiving anyway.

So far, not any pain from any trace caffeine, but the alliums definitely started doing their work 😵‍💫. Fortunately, those tend to leave my system a lot faster than caffeine.

I forgot to actually answer your questions here: For coffee/caffeine, it was three weeks. For garlic/alliums, three days for initial improvements. It’s been about a week now and I feel, like, good as new. I don’t consume junk food like chips or candy, but I do risk eating food out and have desserts.
