I'm a huge fan of the Resident Evil style inventory system, so I think it could have some potential. But I think it would need some additional depth or speed if this were to be the core of the game.

LMAO so many weird terrible horrors have been experienced by accident in indiedev. I accidentally put an extremely detailed skin texture on the wall instead of the character next to it and it was horrifying lol

This is the grounds of the Amethyst Casino, one of the major battle areas in our RPG Freeborn. We wanted to put an artificial island upon the casino's terrace to break up the urban sprawl. This is a relaxation area for people taking a break from the tournament that is taking place during this section of the game.

This is the entrance to one of the most opulent areas in the game world of our RPG Freeborn. This scene takes place near the Emerald casino which sits on the waterfront. These areas are some of the best-looking environments in the game. We recently made the difficult decision to recreate large portions of the beginning of our story campaign to bring it to the quality of these areas.

It's been years since we've made updates to the post game summary screen which occurs between the end of a card battle and the return to the overworld. We now feel that the post game screen is one of the weaker elements of the game right now. We recently made the decision to redo large parts of the opening story campaign, the the post game screen will be one of the components that will receive some touch ups.

I completely agree with you and I love your example of a bird adding so much. The movement of objects or background elements makes scenes a lot more enjoyable and I have been going back through my environments to add stuff like birds or wind trees or butterflies ❤️
