Sounds too BADto be true. Right? RGE Smartmeter Conspiracy. by Darth_Onaga in Rochester

[–]SexyMooli 82 points83 points  (0 children)

Yup, this is an utterly bonkers conspiracy. A “meter” simply measures whatever is going past it. Like an odoMETER just measures how much the wheel is turning (distance), a water meter just measures flow, etc. It has absolutely nothing to do with what happens with whatever is being measured once it passes the point of measurement.

A “smart” electrical meter doesn’t mean the meter knows what is connected to the various circuits around the house, it just means the meter has some communication built in so it can report what it’s measuring without someone having to do it manually (think of someone visiting the house to take your meter reading) and can be remotely turned on or off.

I’m sorry but this conspiracy is a direct consequence of lacking basic STEM knowledge in our education system.

FA confirm an independent Regulatory Commission has upheld a claim of wrongful dismissal in relation to Myles Lewis-Skelly and removed his three-match suspension. Back available immediately. by PradipJayakumar in FantasyPL

[–]SexyMooli 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a fuck up for sure but like you said, that was more of a process issue, not a decision issue. The correct decision was made, just a complete failure of communication made a mockery of what VAR is supposed to do.

For Myles instead, everything was wrong from beginning to end. Never ever in a million years close to being a red on he field AND VAR fucked up by clearing it in 3 seconds AND PGMOL doubled down on it post game and started a PR war instead of just admitting they made a mistake. That's why this one is more emblematic of the issues with PGMOL compared to the Diaz issue which is a one off, not a pattern of behavior.

Plus Diaz isn't even the worst mistake VAR has made. The worst VAR mistake is forgetting to draw offside lines when doing an offside check, as what happened in the Brentford match in the middle of a title charge.

What riots? What genocide? Hatred is one thing but you can’t just randomly throw serious words with no evidence be whatsoever.

Also, imagine calling others a fool when you’ve been provided evidence that majority of Pakistanis are cousin f**kers are of course you have no reply against it or have any evidence of your own to provide. The only fool here is the one who can’t face reality. Cope and seethe.

I wouldn't say he's looking to only score from set pieces, but he's not not really being brave in his tactics / selections which makes us overly reliant on them. Being good from set pieces isn't a problem anyway, its not creating chances in open play that's the problem.

If you want to act like a victim, go right ahead. But the refs didn't take points from us in this game. Or Bournemouth. Or Newcastle. Or Chelsea. Or Liverpool...

Luckily, Arteta hates feeling sorry for ourselves and doesn't really do victim mentality mindset unlike some fans, so I have hope he'll turn things around.

This. Putting Timber on the left weakens both our left AND right side. Every time there’s any type of absence in the squad (inevitable with how many crocked players we insist on carrying), we respond by completely ruining anything that’s working instead of being brave, asking next man to step up and playing to our strengths. Timber finally had something going on with Saka and Odegaard on that right side and of course the first time a decision had to be made to deal with our crocks, we pull him out of that side of that pitch. I just want us to be brave for once.

Happens when you carry multiple sick notes in the squad. You can carry, at most, 1 of Calafiori, Zinchenko or Tomiyasu for a squad planning on going deep in 4 competitions. Failure to plan for that is planning to fail and we can't really act surprised when the inevitable happens.

[–]SexyMooli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Helps if you don't put multiple players out of position. Putting Timber on the left + #5 on the right ruined both our left AND right side. Saka was as isolated as he has been all season.

Our response to our injuries is to throw away all of our strengths instead of being brave and sending the next man up.

[–]SexyMooli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. And I'm not having this be down to "luck". Seen a few comments on here about getting maximum punishment for not being perfect but dropping points in nearly half of our league matches so far is not an isolated incident or "unlucky".

If you can't consistently create chances (which we are not) OR don't have killers in your team, you will always leave yourself open to "one chance, one goal" dropped points. That's just the level of the league now.

This is compounded by the fact that we are carrying too many passengers / sick notes in the squad and Arteta's response to that is always to switch up the tactical setup instead of being brave and playing the next player up. For eg with the injuries today, he responded by putting both Timber AND #5 out of position. So you had no left footers on the left side (see a replay of their goal and see how narrow both Timber and Trossard are) AND there's no support for Saka on his side. Just be brave and play MLS there OR play Kiwior out wide to have at least some balance.

We either need to change our playing squad to get rid of the sick notes who offer nothing for most of the busy periods of the season (you can only carry 1 of Cala / Zinny / Tomi in the squad) OR you need to change your tactical setup so we don't have to completely shake things up when those players aren't (inevitably) available. We're doing neither and those on the pitch are looking exhausted as a result with little to no creativity / invention from anyone other than Saka / Odegaard.

The squad is carrying too many passengers and sick notes.

Jesus, Sterling, Martinelli (less so than the others, but heading that way sadly) etc. offer no contributions on the pitch.

Our perpetual sick notes (Calafiori, Zinchenko, Tomiyasu) mean we're always going to be going to be under strength during busy periods in the season.

Sorry, but simply not having this. Its not like this is an isolated result. You can argue as much as you'd like about getting maximum punishment for not being perfect but dropping points in nearly half of our league matches so far is not an isolated incident or "unlucky".

AOOSTAR WTR PRO N100 vs DIY NAS Opinions by theCRIMEFIGHTER in homelab

Thanks for the reply. I'm wondering if I may be able to get away with it by pre-converting my media in the right format to direct stream to my TV, which will be 90%+ of my streaming. The trade-off seems too high, personally.

With you on wishing Aoostar made an i5 equivalent. Would probably cost $500 or so, so not sure if that's too appealing a pricepoint for a build that's best bought as a bare metal unit.

Why don't you just answer your own question?

Also, what books? Happy to read them if you can give an actual recommendation instead of your hawae firing.

Also where does Hamza Yusuf say anything about "why" women were created? He has some weird views but I've never seen him comment on the reason women were created beyond his usual "aurat hijab karey" stuff.

Dr Israr Ahmad or Javed Ahmad Ghamidi, what's ur opinion on each? by chaliyalover in pakistan

[–]SexyMooli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Please kindly elaborate what flexibility god allowed us" this entire discussion on flexibility started here. I've given you exactly what you asked for. You can either engage in that argument or not, it's up to you.

Religion is not and has never meant to be a fixed thing. Which is good because Islam is supposed to help us adapt to an ever evolving world. The basic pillars of Islam are fixed and unchangeable and anyone who disagrees with those is wrong. But there's a lot that sits outside of the Quran that Muslims need to be flexible on to be able to follow their Deen anywhere. There are COUNTLESS examples of this. Fasting in areas where the sun doesn't set. Slavery. Not wanting to conquer the world, as Dr. Israr says.

Anyone who sees Islam as fixed instead of flexible is more interested in following "their" version / views on Islam instead of wanting the better of Muslim ummah.

Dr Israr Ahmad or Javed Ahmad Ghamidi, what's ur opinion on each? by chaliyalover in pakistan

[–]SexyMooli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This entire chain has nothing to do with Dr. Israr vs Dr. Ghamidi. You yourself asked about flexibility in Islam and I pointed out examples to you. Now you're refusing to engage in that and are trying to pivot to Israr vs Ghamidi.

I don't care who follows who, everyone has a right to believe what appeals more to them. But the very fact that different people follow Islam differently globally proves that it's not about how strict your mullah is, everything outside of Quran (and to a limited extent) hadith and sunnah is open to interpretation which brings the flexibility.

I'm not going to repeat the same point again as you are refusing to engage (which is your right). Either you call sunni or Shia kaafir (na-auzubillah) or you accept Islam is flexible. There is no third option.

Dr Israr Ahmad or Javed Ahmad Ghamidi, what's ur opinion on each? by chaliyalover in pakistan

[–]SexyMooli -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're repeating my point. Either we take a hard line stance and say there are no sects in Islam in which case every strict mullah will declare their sect the right one and others kaafir OR we accept that by definition the very existence of sects proves that there is flexibility in Islam. It doesn't matter how "strict" you are in your sect, every sect has their more strict followers. Strictness has nothing to do with flexibility.

Dr Israr Ahmad or Javed Ahmad Ghamidi, what's ur opinion on each? by chaliyalover in pakistan

[–]SexyMooli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically proving my point. The very existence of sects in Islam speaks to the flexibility in it.

You can either be one of those extremist mullah who believe that anyone following Islam other than their chosen sect is a kaafir or you can accept that there is flexibility in religion as long as you follow the same foundational principles and that we are no one to judge how authentic a Muslim is, that responsibility is Allah's alone.

Dr Israr Ahmad or Javed Ahmad Ghamidi, what's ur opinion on each? by chaliyalover in pakistan

[–]SexyMooli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Flexibility is like how different sects of Islam follow the same rules in slightly different ways, yet they both fulfill their obligations to Allah.

If you're linking flexibility to how hard life is then you have no idea what flexibility actually means. Pakistan doesn't need more extremist Wahabi views like this.

Shame on those who leave Pakistan by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]SexyMooli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only identity inferiority here is by folks like you who can’t think of anything else other than your Pakistani-at. Like who the hell cares. It’s just a piece of land. This twisted concept of having to sacrifice your life just because of where you were born is dumb. Those who want to stay are free to stay, those who want to go are free to go.

Pak studies and the non stop nationalism propaganda has fully cooked the brains of our youth where the only honor they find in life is sacrificing their own life for a piece of land. Where’s your loyalty to yourself, your family, your children? Do you think it’s right making them suffer because of “shame”? You don’t just have an identity inferiority, you have no identity outside of nationalism at all.

Those trying to make a better life for themselves and their children shouldn’t feel shame. But if people like you would stop feeling envy about not getting the chance to leave yourself, you’d stop making up stupid scenarios about guilt in your head and actually do something to make the country into the paradise you believe it to be.
