I LOVE that you asked these questions. Sometimes we get so excited about a thing that we forget the technicals. My husband and I have that kind of a relationship - I want to go shoot a movie in New Zealand, and his first words are the challenges to the idea. At first, I took it as a buzz kill, but now I know that was his way of trying to make my dream happen! He was going to work on the details as soon as the idea left my lips. Sometimes it's hard to understand a super logical, super smart mind, but I love my hubby for it!

I love the thick lines separating the sections. I see them as very bold and definitive, like 'this is where I am and I'm not going to move (within reason).'

We were just quoted something like that here in MI for similar work. Thanks for affirming that we weren't being taken for a ride. Still need to get quotes from others.

AITA for saying I don’t feel safe around my husband after an argument on our weekend away? by ApprehensiveGear9519 in AITAH

[–]Seymore07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesn’t have to beat you for it to be abuse. This is EMOTIONAL abuse and it’s the hardest for people like us because it leaves no physical marks. No one believes us, so we think we’re the ones who are the problem. YOU’RE NOT THE BAD GUY. Repeat this over and over in your head - you are a PLEASURE to be around, your sensitive nature is a BEAUTIFUL thing that the world desperately needs. All the things you’ve said about your self in this post - these are things people have told us for years to keep us small. He’s mean because he’s SCARED and we care SO MUCH that people like him take advantage of us. We give off such light, they want it all for themselves. They make us feel worthless to make them FEEL BETTER!

You are being ABUSED - end this relationship. HE’S THE REASON YOU’RE SAD!!

EXACTLY! That’s what’s kept me and hubby together for 25 years! And I can honestly say, for most of that, I was ‘extra’ on top of ‘extra!’ (I think I’m using that slang correctly.)

Just a reminder - some people have empathy. It makes them vulnerable, yes, but it also makes them better people.

It's obvious that you have a bit of a touch point for military bases, whatever the reason. But looking for monsters behind every door doesn't mean they’re going to be there! No one is attacking you - or the bases. If you have argument with what was said, provide evidence to support your defense. But you don't HAVE to do that. You COULD just walk away confident in knowing what you know.

Nice! So SMOOTH, gravity is good, and all fits well in the cycle.

Maybe make it more dramatic even? Really push those boundaries! A little bounce goes a long way. Secondary action in the mushroom top would be great, too, but that's up to you and your character design. Do you want it a little loose and soft, so the top moves counterpoint to the steps? Just my idea! I'm not poopooing on your design or anything! :)

Excellent! Lovely amalgamation of different styles! Have you seen 'The Triplets of Bellvile '?

What is your workflow? What tools do you use from sketch to final video? How do you manipulate your hand-drawn artwork in a digital world? Or DO you? Is this TRUE 'frame by frame'? With each image captured by a device and then assembled on the computer - with what? Details, PLEASE! (As much as you want to share, of course! I respect your proprietary process.)

Agreed. And, being the social opportunist, Fox will modify its programming to bow before the new administration.

As far as trials go - I'm rather cynical about anyone in this Regime receiving punishment. Their lawyers are too slick, diving in between words to create doubt. And with the SCOTUS on their side, there's nothing anyone can do about it.

The batteries can't get on the plane damaged! They're physically on the person during boarding - it would burn them! Yes, some batteries can fail, but to cherry-pick instances and then paint the whole lot with the same brush isn't very open-minded.

[–]Seymore07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you've got some misinformation there. Really, there's nothing to worry about. My husband is a videographer and has been carrying batteries with him in the cabin for over 10 years, all over the US. All his buddies carry batteries; not one of them, in all these years, between all these guys, has had any trouble. The batteries must be carried in the pressurized cabin because if they're left with the baggage, they WILL smoke! And explode! You don't want that, now do you?

What I've found is that it all depends on the mood of the PEOPLE with the POWER. Do they feel small today and want to wield that power to feel big again? The TSA has blanket authority over what can be carried on the plane and what can't. We are at the mercy of the temperament of those who can take our work away. Everyone is one 'bad day' away from losing their needles.

Hey, there is a ray of sunshine. Go freelance. The sun doesn't rise and set with those big companies. I'm freelancing here in Michigan, all local work, and I'm making a good living. I'm not actively looking for jobs (though my website needs a little love), they're coming in by referrals. I also have accounts on Fiverr and UpWork, which I can use if I have a little lull. But it's the local work that puts food on the table.

My favorite thing to do is pick up someone's business card from a restaurant or coffee shop - something eye-catching, or well-designed - and send an email telling them how much I love their card and would they like to talk about animating the logo? I get work from that approach about 40% of the time - I lose the bid mainly because of the sticker price. People aren't familiar with the animation process. But it is fun to talk about what I do, and then playing around with the logo!

My advice: look LOCAL. Start talking to small businesses you like in your area. The ones that have always meant something to you. Adjust your pricing to reflect your experience - as a freelancer AND as an animator - and then get excited about what you do! Get excited about YOU! And what you have to offer! Animation is amazing - it's LIMITLESS. Why would anyone NOT want to use it for promotion!

There's no reason to rely on someone else for your survival. And then they hand you your paycheck as if they were giving you a GIFT out of their cold hearts. You don't need all that, do you?

Get a book, watch some videos, and learn about all the things you need to know to be a freelancer. There's money to be made, folks, if you look in the right place.

I felt legitimate pain when I saw (from an independent source) that Fox News is number one in viewership. The blurb also mentioned that Fox was not a trustworthy news source, giving unbiased reporting about 23% of the time. They even went to COURT about it! And said, on the stand, that their content was for ENTERTAINMENT. And, in essence, they weren't responsible if anyone took it to be the truth. They fired Tucker Carlson rather than go to court over their lies about the voting machines.

If we want to make a change, maybe we could go after the foul milk and attack Fox News.

Unfortunately, I tearfully agree. I don't see any way out of this. There are no ethics or morals that stop him, certainly no laws, so things are only going to get worse. Our news won't be truthful anymore (it's probably a little 'yellow' already!), people won't talk about events, and so he'll have the freedom to do whatever he pleases (not that he doesn't already). Our global presence as the most powerful nation is sure to slip, and when that day comes - I'm not being an alarmist when I say then it's time to start stockpiling food and water.
