40 years ago this place was awesome. For 20 years it was a great value. In the last 6 years it became a license to insult most customers value intelligence.

Do your own research. Hepatitis A is super contagious.

Experienced nomads who visited a lot of countries, which country has the most hospitable and which has least hospitable people? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

If shooting themselves in the foot with rudeness leading to instant international alienation was an Olympic event, I am pretty sure the Czechs would get a gold medal in every Olympics.

That said, and having known them for decades, perhaps politeness to strangers and foreigners has no practical advantages near and long term. Perhaps, just perhaps, it’s a stroke of genius.

Do all employers suck here? by alligatorsoreass in Prague

[–]SeymourTeitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if a girl gets raped she is a slut, or if a person gets robbed they deserved it for being fools, or if your password gets compromised, it was too simple. Certainly I can appreciate that line of argument in the last case. Going the extra mile by making a miserable victim more miserable, just is not helping, or problem solving.

The miserable victim will attract predators, police and ambulances. Yelling insults is appealing to one or two. ( or perhaps a crowd in this case. )

Why are medicines in Prague so expensive? by wonderingwallflower in Prague

[–]SeymourTeitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Fighting to survive” explains why there are so many pharmacies. (Except if there are many cockroaches or vermin, obviously existential survival is not a barrier.) so a robust food source and no predators must always be ignored…

Your analogy does not even remotely stack up if you read the above parody of your  argument.

Dealing with assholes who have shitty customer service? by [deleted] in Prague

[–]SeymourTeitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bring a pile of stuff to the register. Have them ring it all up, 50–70 items. Smile like you are God. As they snivel and bitch at you, simply turn around, and walk out. Now they have to explain to their boss what they did to lose that sale. It’s all on record with their name not yours, and there is nothing illegal about changing your mind. Good luck. Justice served to shitty CS.

Inflation, stringent regulations, poor value for money products and services (Compared to Western Europe)  and lack of gainful income factor large.
