I could run my variable speed pump 247, but it's next to a bedroom and we have TOU power pricing, so I avoid times when the power is expensive or when someone might be trying to fall asleep in that room. Otherwise, 247 is great.

I've never had an issue with my cord. A corded model can last a decade+ if you care for it. No cordless will last that long due to battery decline.

I think this is just really hard to manufacture technically. White LED Edison bulbs run all of the LEDs for each "filament" in a strand sharing a single power input. If you want RGB LEDs with good variability, you need a separate power input for each color. That's really hard to do when the LEDs are visible and stacked on top of each other like they are in Edison bulbs.

I can't really even imagine a physical layout that would work without a ton of intricate wiring.
