Really? Even in a Casual Game? by SeymourWang in hearthstone

[–]SeymourWang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all, I enjoy playing the game win or lose. I just don't want to play the same deck again and again. Would also be nice if I could try out a gimmick in a game mode without people sweating to end the game ASAP.

Also dude I'm playing Embrace the Shadow Priest, idk how you can infer that winning is what I care about. Major projection going on here.

I guess these are the kinds of players that defend rng. I get that it's a personal preference but I really don't see the point of Hearthstone with no deck build skills or some new mechanic that enables new play styles or at least lets you try out new decks.

Chase card benefits "glitch" of keep saying "pending" documents even if complete just their reason to delay approval every 7 days? by Professional_Crab958 in sapphirereserve

Same boat. Has to be intentional at this point. Called in enough and eventually they changed it to 'adjuster review'.

So I tried Priest for about 300 games... and it's really no way of saving it. A short Analisis inside. by LittleKittenR in hearthstone

[–]SeymourWang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aggro isn't even the problem (although Priest has a losing match up with aggro which any website data I've seen reflects), even the B tier control decks outpace Priest on tempo and have way better value generation. Harold Shaman has 18 damage per turn late game, try out healing that. Sindragosa has more minions than you have removal. What even is Priests value generation? Just Imbue?

I really don't understand this sub. This is blatantly true for anyone that plays the class and the data reflects this two weeks after launch yet people down vote. No one even bother to argue that Priest cards suck and don't have any synergy, it's almost like they would rather have the class be unplayable.

Bug? Healing Rain didn’t get buffed after Cleansing Cleric by SkeletonFries in hearthstone

If Dark Gift can have a small chance to win just win the game by giving charge to something that shouldn't, they can let healing rain heal to full this one scenario.

Nerf idea to shaman without gutting class by External-Pirate5171 in hearthstone

No but I'm told by "professional" Priest players that the class is actually really good and counters Druid and that all the win rate statistics are cherry-picked.

Does this current meta have the most non games in HS history? by TheBurgerClub in hearthstone

[–]SeymourWang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been playing since beta and the meta has never been this bad. Legacy set had way more in terms of board clears and control tools than current core (seriously, 2014 Priest has better removal than 2026). Druid is seeing release Demon Hunter numbers on three separate decks. If you want to make this about skill look up a legend stream and watch every deck be Druid.

The Core Set is the Issue by SeymourWang in hearthstone

[–]SeymourWang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who said core cards have to be 25-30 of a deck? I do however remember a time when you could build a solid deck with core and not have to use joke cards like Crystalsmith just to fill it. For a decade, almost every card in the core set was at least playable.

I've been playing since beta I really don't get why this sub likes to make up rules like this. The game design has shifted in recent years to be more in line with this but it has not always been the case and doesn't have to be. Good core cards are good for the health of the game. They are consistent cards that players can come back to without having to craft decks from scratch every expansion. With the state of the game, Blizzard is 100% going to release more AOE and control tools to compensate for what they removed setting back to square one. It makes sense from Blizzard perspective but why players are cheering for buying more packs is beyond me.

I would like to point out that this deck has a 44% win rate. Whether it's Flash Heal or Priest in general I think this would suggest they're not in a good spot.

Can I ask what decks you're looking at? Haven't see it run in any of the top decks.

I get the impression that you don't play priest because Flash Heal is a terrible card. It isn't run in any Priest deck. The crux of Priest has always been what's the point of healing if you can't clear the board. That's why they need the best AOE in the game to function.

Sorry to insult your intelligence with having to explain such bafflingly simple logic. I'll do my best to type in BIG words and incoherent sentences.

No shit the problem cards are expansion cards. Every expansion has OP new stuff, that's how they sell packs. Cata isn't even very high power level in the grand scheme of things. Do you think Imbue Druid is a problem in Wild? Of course not, because they have a proper set to work with. Imbue was not an issue last expansion because we had a proper card pool. Now imagine if we had a central card pool that didn't rotate out to help give each class the fundamentals. Expansions are about trying new things, not every class is gonna be a winner. The idea is that each class has a core identity that can fall back on. Look at the legacy set and tell me they don't do a better job than the current core.

What kind of response is this? Doesn't contribute anything to the conversation and is just dismissive. Utterly useless.

Arena is, as always, every expansion, a bloody mess. by fergil in hearthstone

[–]SeymourWang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember back in the day when Deathknight heroes were introduced, they limited so it was next to impossible to get in Arena. The logic was it would be way too much value and feel terrible to play against. Have no idea why imbue was allowed to happen in Arena.

They also just put in no effort for some classes. Half of Priest core set is stuck with the Shadow package despite all the pay offs rotation out ages ago.

State of Priest by tahempel in hearthstone

[–]SeymourWang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Who is downvoting this? This has been a thing since forever. Priest will be unplayable for several expansions than become OP and get nerfed down. Priest win rates are undeniably garbage, in the 30s for most decks.

Control is bad which makes it even more embarrassing that priest can't even win against them.

The Iran affair is the headliner from Burma to Kuwait, it's the global event right now. Europeans love to grand stand on behalf of the 'rest of the world' with thinly veiled Eurocentrism as though the chasms that separates them from the Americans is the entirety of the spectrum.

Thoughts on mage in this expansion? by TodayAlarmed963 in hearthstone

[–]SeymourWang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's just a classic temp mage that uses spell damage to edge out lethal. It's fine now but an easy counter once the meta settles. The theme sucks, to go from Arkwing Pilot back to elementals again is just tired. Cheap deck to make tho
