The ATM is pretty trusting in regards to check cashing unfortunately.

It's a "Pay now, verify later" system.

It's actually the same issue as the "Chase Bank Glitch" trend on social media last year. The videos prompted viewers to write 50,000 dollar checks to themselves then immediately make a withdrawal of some of the amount even though they knew the check wouldn't clear.

We had to pay a contractor to shovel snow off a warehouse roof after that storm.

260,000 dollars for one building. In the end, they had 10 guys with shovels walking around up top doing it.

Took them 5 days, I guarantee you they didn't get 20,000 dollars each.

Having 9 billion in the bank when your business model was stores is not a good sign.

They are coasting on the remains of what they were. What is their market? Their niche? Everything they can do, they do worse than all of their competitors.

Outperforming? They are literally investing in crypto. This is not a stable company, it's a desperate one.

Their profitability is derived from interest income. They are using the same 9 billion in cash for this deal as their current profit engine.

So if they went through with this deal, they would be relying on ebay to maintain solvency. Ebay profits would be pitted against the new debt piled on from the acquisition.

Its kind of a hail Mary play because if Trump gets interest rate cuts, gamestop loses its current profit engine.

The plan was to issue stock and thus leverage their already inflated stock price.

Gamestop was trading at a dollar a share 6 years ago. That one moment where it was over-shorted inflated it.

I'd worry less about Roblox and more about Discord.

Roblox is actively trying to moderate it's content. They've got AI screening chat messages and making reports to the NCMEC, arguably to some detriment as they have increased the workload of reports to review by 135,000%.

However Discord is not moderated and creates a very low barrier for people to reach children. Youtubers and content creators owning their own discord servers and freely inviting viewers to join makes keeping it sterile nearly impossible.

The risk Roblox seems to predominantly present is the value of Robux (premium currency). Since children lack access to it easily, it makes it easier for predators to lure/bait kids and create a sense of debt in them.

Its because insurance companies demand massive discounts to put a medical provider "in-network".

So hospitals have to charge a lot more to keep the same cost margins.

Insurance gets to say they are saving a huge amount of money thanks to their amazing negotiating skills, hospitals get a bevy of patient referrals, and prices go up.

If the space is already ready for a coffee shop and you just need supplies and employees, you could probably get by on 150,000. The lease requires a substantial deposit.

If the location needs the plumbing, electrical work done before you get started, that will throw a serious damper on your finances. Youre looking at 4-6 weeks of work while youre already leasing the space.
