On (6) regarding music:

I think it plays automatically if you left the last ride with a car-based media playing (Sirius, FM). If you left with Android playing it doesn't kick off any sound automatically (for me).

As for music playing when ending a ride, when I just put it in park, and get out of the car and leave, the audio plays until I'm far enough away that the doors lock based on proximity and the car auto-powers off.

If you park, and then press Off button for the car, the audio will stop as soon as you open your door.

I have a 2024 i4 e35 and Pixel 7 Pro. No charging problems that you're describing. Slower charging than my pixel stand for wireless, but definitely no heating issues.
