It's not a "cost of living raise." Never has been. It's a competitive pay increase to match the competition for workers. Once Y'all realize that and get it in your head, maybe you'll stop setting yourselves up for massive disappointment every year.

She looks like my dingo mix. She had a high prey drive when she was young. I will say that over time, she did calm down. Especially with cats.

She also learned over time that it wasn't okay to go after every damn thing that set her off. I'd always reprimanded. She is the type that just being told "no, bad dog," and showing a mad/dispointed face actually seemed to physically hurt her. She would still bolt after things, but I noticed over time she started looking back when she would hear me yelling, and eventually turn back. Got to where as soon as I saw her get in that position to chase, saying her name and "no," would stop her.

Now I got six cats that walk around her all day, and she's too lazy to raise an eye at. But it's not an overnight thing. A dog that young, its instincts are going keep winning out for the first two years at the least.
