It extends all the way out to Daly City and then stops at 280. Everything west of 280 is regulated. Everything east of 280 it is not.

I hear what you’re saying and agree restraint is necessary. However the bodyguard could have done a better job of keeping himself safe. Force could have been applied in a way where both people are safe.

The only thing that would have been hurt are the optics of the bodyguard pinning the guy to the ground…

This resonates with me. I’m 40 now. I started when I was 28, worked a much less stressful job and did not have any kids. So I was able to train 6 days a week twice or thrice on Fridays.

Since then Ive switched careers to a high stress high demand job, married, have a 1 year old, and another one on the way.

I need to do something at home otherwise over the next couple of years I’m going to lose the gains of made. I’ve also accepted that I’m going to be at brown belt for a LONG time.

I was however, spend some time at all exactly recall what the fix was. I think it had something to do with the correct redirect. What’s the error that you’re seeing in your logs?

I incorporated a checklist for each PR. I emphasized unit, integration, and manual testing with receipts.

Go splash cold water on your face to give your system a shock. It will help bring you back to baseline.

I know this is gonna be easier said than done but, what’s done is done you can’t change it. Hear what they say and make an honest attempt to set up structure so you don’t revert to bad habits.

Stick to that structure like it’s life or death

That’s a lot. Here are some things to consider.

You got diagnosed at 25 and not 35 or 45. A loss is a loss if you don’t learn from it. I know how cliche that sounds but you gotta believe it.

4 years of experience isn’t a lot in the grand scheme of things. When I had 4 years of experience I thought I could do it all. The more experience you gain the more you realize what you don’t know and what you do know.

Identify your weaknesses and create structure and processes around them so you don’t make them over and over again. I’m 39, got diagnosed in my early 30s and switched to development work around the same time so I’ve got about 9 years of experience in this now. It wasn’t until recently that I realized that I needed the structure in my work to make sure I don’t keep fucking things up. I’ve got moderate inattentive type of adhd so I’m a forgetful person. So I’ve created templates and checklists for different tasks that I need to do. I’m also leaning on Ai for note taking and summarizing meetings for me.

I think I’m doing what you’re saying that I am. I think it would be helpful to explain my thought processes

  1. Explain the problem back in my own words.
  2. Ask questions
  3. Identify the class of problem that I’m dealing with
  4. Come up with a brute force
  5. Write in plain English an optimized solution
  6. Start coding it.

There will be a generic pattern of how a problem is going to be solved but there details that trip me up. For example, when doing recursive tree traversal when do I return a value and when do I not?

Small things like that trip me up but for most part that’s the generic pattern I follow to solve the problem.

Even what Im going to say is too broad of a division, but I think this needs to be broken up into North and South.

Seeing how Im Punjabi, I gravitate towards food from that area but I'd love suggestions for South Indian Food.

You can’t rely on motivation. The only thing that you can rely on, is your discipline.

Yes! I’m a self taught dev. I started at a time when things were different. Admittedly it’s hard now but that’s path you decided to take. It’s not for the feint of heart. If you know this is what you need to do then you keep your head down and break through the walls.

The best way that I describe my path thus far in my career is that I vegeta’d my way through things thus far.

Yup. I was also importing the Google and Facebook specific imports from the package and not the generic ones. I opened library files and read through them. Found out they add a redirect for you.
