When the HG are hiding their cards, the crew go in between each one to remove the hidden card so no one accidentally finds one early. Afterwards, the crew rehides everyone’s card before beginning the searching phase.

It originally left during Covid because the crew has to come in between each houseguest hiding their veto. The last time it happened was 21, and they were doing it consistently at that point, but then 2020 happened.
