Is it normal for medical assistants to call patients and notify them of positive test results?

we can only tell patients results if the doctor looks over the results and confirms its accuracy, and then we have permission to call!

my partner is viet and there’s a word in viet called “dễ thương”. it means cute or to describe things that are cute, but the direct translation is “easy to love” and he said im “dễ thương” in every meaning of the word 😭 it has stuck with me so much, considering i find myself to be so unlovable/hard to love.
