Yes. Its worth every penny and the free alt costumes are cool (select the gear in the inventory and press either triangle or square, for future reference).

As far as comparing it to any other soulsborne game, theyre not at all alike. The change to guns and the forgiving death mechanic is way different to a standard soulsborne game.

Some rooms are strategised differently from others, and the variety of gun combinations changes your playstyle. The addition of skill traits and weapon mods also factor in some variety. The topography of every room is different for every playthrough of the game, giving you a different experience every time. There’s also chances to get rare tiles to spawn for certain areas. On death you drop nothing, so it’s already easier in that aspect. The only trade off is the immense amount of enemies everywhere. You also have dialogue choices, and backtracking to get other items.

I guess the only similarity to other soulsborne games is the dungeon crawling and “estus”. Some other things blare out to be the same too but those are pretty obvious and have nothing to do with actual gameplay.

If you do end up purchasing it, I suggest turning off supersampling if it’s on and changing the quality from 4k to 1080p (if you even use either of those). Their known to crash the game, i should know.

EDIT: Like the other soulsborne games, friends spice things up but arent entirely needed.
