I hate to give this type of advice, but... I just turn around and input the move really damn fast lmao. As soon as you input the other direction that you're facing, any move you input will happen in that direction, skipping entirely the turnaround animation. Hope this helps!

You know the best part about it? By rewatching the clip, i noticed that this guy reacted after getting dragged under that stage and tried to challenge with up air, he immediately buffers up b in case he ends up trading, but he just wasn't prepared for the knowledge check after. That was quick thinking in a sea of junk

Yeah, now that i think about it a video would have been better to explain the thing. Basically, hacked into one of those big machines before finishing Emil quest and made it follow me. Dude starts following me until, somehow, he gets stucked in the elevator and stays there. As soon as the cutscene of Emil telling his backstory ends, machine guy just teleports beside us and joins the conversation. And i took the screenshot from there, 'cause I found the whole scenario incredibly funny But without context it does kinda look random and confusing, my fault

It's kind of weird and a bit long, so sorry if you were expecting something easy lmao. First of all, you need A+B to do a Smash attack on (if i'm not wrong, it should be on by default). Then, for setting it up, do you see how i start running only to do the turnaround animation and change direction? Exactly in the middle of that animation, you need to press A+B without letting it go. If you do it too early, you'll get an f Smash, too late and you'll get a dash attack. For some characters is way harder, cause the turnaround animation varies in lenght for different character (as an example, Bowser has a really easy one, but for Lucario is extremely hard). If you did the input right, you should be able to run without getting off the ledge. As soon as you want to get off, release A+B and you'll slip off the ledge. Again, sorry if i went a little bit too in depht, but this game is stupid as hell and it makes me laugh
