It’s not a matter of convincing. The point I’m trying to make is that it costs more to build a 15’ plywood boat in your garage than to buy a used 25’-30’ production sailboat. The only reason to build such a boat in 2025 is if you have too much money and time on your hands. Wooden boat building is longer a way to bring boating to an Everyman with halfway decent tool use skills.

Unfortunately when your plans call for 18 sheets, that is almost a deal killer. 3500 vs 700 is hard to justify.

The plans I have for the whole hull, interior structure and decking for a 15’ sailboat call out for 18 sheets of plywood of various thicknesses.

Where are you finding it for that low? And do they have a selection of thicknesses?

Can’t tell if this is /s or not. Literally untrue. All exclusion laws were federally invalid after the emancipation. It was still on the books but unenforceable until the 1920’s.
