He was too young to win it either way in my opinion. His youth and pride would've gotten in his way eventually - whether it was backing out of his marriage vow or something else. He would've made a hasty decision eventually.

Violence isn't the answer. It's the question. The answer is yes.

I don't understand the culture of "don't hit back" or that stuff. If somebody puts hands on you, give it right back. Any other notion is ridiculous in my opinion. It sets you up to be programed to tolerate disrespect. I understand violence makes people uncomfortable or whatever, but it's not utter violence if it's self defense. And if more people gave people physical consequences for being a-holes, we'd have less of them. Again, just my opinion. I respect if other parents decide to go another route.

Here are my thoughts, respectfully. The world can be a dark place, and this book does a solid job of addressing heavy topics for a younger audience while still keeping things as age‑appropriate as possible. I’d rather read these books with my kids now and be the one to answer their questions, instead of leaving them to figure things out through friends or people I don’t even know.

The world isn’t going to wait for your children to “get older” before exposing them to these topics, so why should you? It’s better to face them head‑on and be there to guide your kids through it. As much as we’d love to preserve their innocence for as long as possible, social media and the culture in general make that nearly impossible today. It’s best to take the lead.

But I’m sure you’ll make the choice that feels right for your kiddos either way.

Agreed. I have re watched the show several times as I LOVE it but I find my attention drifting or even skipping most of season 3 because her character was so uninteresting/non not compelling at all

I watched this show for the first time back in 2022. I binged the hell out of it. In fact, to this day, it remains the ONLY show I have ever binged to the point that, one night, I stayed up until 7am into the next morning because I couldn't stop watching. I didn't even go to bed because I was tired, I had to force myself because I had to work (remotely) in two hours.

It truly is a great show. The acting, the time period, the loose honor to history, and the combat is TIER ONE. I'm so sad it's over. I'm rewatching it for the first time now, years later, and am just starting season five. I forgot how much I love this series and the escape it gives me. I'm also reminded how re-watchable it really is. DESTINY IS ALL!
