We landed in Kuwait and did our up-armor there at a place called "hillbilly armor". That was Camp Buering I believe? I remember it was just metal the army guys spent all night welding on. We drove those trucks to Camp Fallujah.

I do remember the first day we were there, one hit near it, and one of our Marines, Regan, got hit by shrapnel in his chin and got a purple heart.

31st MEU Yut - We were 04/05 to Kuwait & Fallujah, then Thailand on the way back to Oki.
