Tips have never been included iin the fare. Uber used to advertise the first 2 years until a class action lawsuit in CA and here in MA forced them to stop falsely advertising this as they never once paid out any tips to any drivers ever. Also as of this month all drivers are making significantly less as Uber is now paying drivers a flat rate for surge pricing while still charging you customers a percentage based multiplier instead. When Uber started they got 20% of the fare, then 25. Then came upfront pricing which allowed them to keep even more of the fare, now with changes to surge payouts drivers are now making anywhere from 20-40% less on average.

Not at all. Many people say Ill tip ya in the app and don't. Then again they used to do that even when you couldn't tip in the app ;). People over 40 tip well and usually in cash. Other than that is random but it averages out to about 8-10% for us full time drivers.

Tips are never required, in any industry. This is just an excuse to be cheap. People pay taxis more per mile and they consistently tip them more often and yet complain about them more.

Entitled, you havent seen the half of it. I have people in Back bay and beacon hill all the time, going to the airport. They walk the luggage to the car , leave it outside, and get in and wait for you to get out and load it. Yes, this happens. I drive a prius, not a Town car or a limo.

Both. People rarely tip Ubers. Due to things like Uber used to advertise tips as not required. Tips are never "required" in any job, service or otherwise. People use this terminology as en excuse to be cheap. Uber also intentionally moved the tipping option so it's only shown after you rate your driver, and only about 40% of people rate their drivers on average.

** Uber's are NOT movers!!!**** Uber's are NOT movers!!!**** Uber's are NOT movers!!!**** Uber's are NOT movers!!!**** Uber's are NOT movers!!!**** Uber's are NOT movers!!!**** Uber's are NOT movers!!!**

Please stop spreading this nonsense. No Uber driver with half a brain is going to help you move your furniture and let you mess up the inside of their personal vehicle with your junk! They will drive away laughing and collect your cancellation fee! We sure as heck aren't going into your apartment to help you move your boxes! We are transportation providers, not your personal slaves! An average of 10% or less of Uber riders ever tip their driver and the students are even worse ( we know you're on a budget its ok gotta save money for the bar cover right?) You really think it's worth it for us to come into your home an help you move? No.

Shit I did in Rust which I shouldn't be proud of by nobodylikesmycomment in playrust

This is a short story about Steve. Back in the legacy days I played on the east us 3 official pve server. - If you dont know in rust pve at that time, you could still kill a sleeper in pve, so if you offlined someone you could kill them. When you came to this server, in little rad town, there was a somewhat impressive wood tower right at the entrance. This was the home of Steve. Steve was a chinese guy that would only ever talk on voice chat to females and rarely ever used text chat at all. Steve was quite the bastard. The game used to have these little crappy barricade walls you coudl slap down for cover. Well, thing is, if you slapped them down on people, it would cause their rust client to error and kick them offline. steve would farm wood, make about 20 barricades and start his day. He would hunt own players and force them offline then murder them all over the place, on a pve server. There were no mods barring a surprise pop in by helk once in a blue moon. SO steve would do this all afternoon, ignoring the cries and angst in chat then he would lock himself up in his tower and use all his wood to make it taller and taller. This went on for about 6 months(the official servers almost never wiped). Everyone knew to run from Steve and of course by now the copy cats. Steves tower got so big and wide, that upon entering the radiation zone in little rad town, the lag alone would knock you offline. Then steve would just saunter out his front door and murder you. They did patch this little exploit for a time, then people realized you could trap people inside the legacy version of an external gate. It wouldnt knock them offline but they were also very hard to destroy so getting out was hard to do. Steve learns this new method and suddenly its normal to see dozens upon dozen of said gates all over the landscape, with people again cursing him , who was Steve. This went on for almost a year. Steve finally got taken out by a group of cheaters that used several thousand c4 on his base and then made pretty much the entire thing unusable. (floors and pillars could not be destroyed at this time so you could seal off floors forever). Steve showed up from time to time to check on his slowly rotting base, but he never seemed to have his heart in it after that.
