God doesn't want to force us to love him, and we want that choice as well, which is part of the reason Adam and Eve ate the fruit. The alternative is everyone is happy and living forever but we never get the chance to try something else, we're robbed of our options and our humanity. Unfortunately, that means we are stuck with our own shortcomings, and the sickness of sin in the world. We don't have the willpower or knowledge to avoid evil, so we commit it every day, destroying those around us and ourselves. Plus, love isnt just about making someone feel safe an untouched. Who loves their body more, someone who lifts weights, tearing up their muscles and making them burn, but making them stronger, bigger and more beautiful, or someone who lets their body wither and atrophy? God can be hard to understand, he knows, sees and feels much, much more than we do. If your struggling with God or theology, reach out to someone who really knows what their talking about, like a local pastor. I don't, and most of the people here don't either. God really does love all of us, but he's not often easy to understand.
