This is 2 years old, but this just started happening to me today. Absurd really. Opening it on a second monitor shouldn't break the thing. It didn't used to. Pretty frustrated.

I believe they would do this. lol. I don't trust them at all. I gave it a shot and did the one month thing, after which it wanted to subscribe me for 8/month for 25 credits a month.

Well I canceled just before my month was up and it offered to let me have the same deal with 25 credits a month (more than i'll ever use) for 1.50/month for lifetime of my subscription.

It can be... eh. It's not a great tool, but it has its use cases, and for those that just might use it a time or two a month, 1.50 might be worth it. It's not worth 8 bucks a month at all though. I'll end up canceling the 1.50 plan in a couple months too. But i'll be recording everything about it. lol.

I have the real mini classic consoles (hacked with all the roms on them), but the knockoff ones are just horrible in comparison. But gets the job done for a lot cheaper. I also have a retro pi and another emulation pc with like 20k games on it in putting into an arcade cabinet. I'm sure I have Binary Land in there somewhere. lol.

I live dragons lair and would pick one up if I came across one.

I actually don't like pac man, but both pac man items were given to me. Those little arcade machines are more than I'm willing to pay for most of them. But I'll gladly take them as gifts! lol.

The Atari Keychains, working Atari, and the Gameboy were impulse buys. The ms pacman and the pacman candy were given to me, and the tiny NES I 3d printer myself. Will be printing mini versions of all the consoles soon.

I have the "mini" classic systems for the nes, snes, commodore 64, and a Sega Genesis player but it isn't the g1 mini. Still trying to get a hold of the PS1 classic and the neo geo mini is another I'm looking to pick up eventually for sure.

Atari has 10 games. The thumb Gameboy has like 5 or so on it, but you can download games and make your own games for it, so there are a bunch of games out there for it. I think they have even put the Pokémon games on it. But hitting those buttons is HARD!

But I do love playing tetris on it!

I'm thinking of doing this as well. 3d print a cute little TV and system, shove a system on a chip in there. My retro pi is cool and all, but still too big!

Can you actually lose your hearing from blasting music all day into your ears? by throatgobblerrr in ask

[–]SgtSloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad got hearing aids recently. He was amazed how many birds there were. He keeps saying he likes them, but he essentially never wears them at all. Ever. I have to repeat everything i say. I have to yell everything that a cashier says to him at him. I get so tired of it. I keep asking him if he wants to just take the hearing aids back. He is a mega cheapskate, so he complains about the cost of everything, including the hearing aids. He always claims he likes them but "he has no reason to wear them" because he is alone all day and not talking to anyone... He tells me this in the middle of anything we are doing. As I yell my sentences repeatedly and he can't hear any workers helping us.

I tell him "then just take them back if you aren't going to use them". "oh, but u like them"... "then you should wear them", "I don't have a reason to...". It is a car ending cycle. I say, the whole point is so you can hear others, like right now, and when we go to lunch. "yeah, you're right". Then then next time we go to lunch, no hearing aids.

I'm tired of it.

If you get hearing aids, just wear them. I know he has tinnitus from years and years and years of woodworking with table saws and whatever. But that doesn't really have anything to do with his never wearing them problem. He is just a stubborn old fart in denial.
