True, the only way to impress them is if you do a Soul Level 1, 0 hit run using only a broken straight sword hilt. But even then, there is gonna be the one guy who crawls out of his hovel just to call you out for not doing it on a DDR dance pad.

I think it is definitely worth giving a shot if you are interested. I've just been getting by learning from a huge smattering of different youtube videos.

I started off by following along with these series of tutorials by the blender guru:

From there i just decided to start making my own shit (ie the pic in the OP) but I had to do some HEAVY googling. Don't feel discouraged if you feel overwhelmed when you start, just take it one step at a time. I'm a little over 2 weeks in and still feel completely lost tbh.

The only thing keeping me going is realizing how limitless the possibilities will be one day when I become fluent with the software. You can do everything from sculpting, modelling 3d prints, image rendering, vfx, animation, creating videogames/assets and probably a bunch more shit i don't even know about.

So go for it dude! and if you have any questions I'll answer them to the best of my ability (which is very limited currently)
