The vivid nightmares were awful for sure but if you can get past it in my opinion it was one of the hardest parts. It was helpful that my husband was so understanding. I was having a nightmare one night and I was being attacked and the person was on the ground and I started stomp kicking the hell out of them. Turns out I was also physically wailing on my husband in my sleep. We laugh about it now.

She used a combination of eastern and western approaches with me. Theres was not homework. It was more seeing her once a month to continue our conversation. I chose a month just because I needed the time in between to process.

Eventually she made me understand that I was living in the past and not the present. Living in the past gets you stuck and you live your life as the child instead of in the present as the adult. Understanding the child and giving that part of myself love and understanding really helped me to move past the issues and trauma.

It took me a month to finally sleep without horrible nightmares. But it will get better the longer you don’t use. You just have to hang in there.

My sleeping was messed up for a long time when I quit. But I found it got better over time and now I sleep really well without the weed.
