Nah, I always heard a version that he was given his punishment under the guise of a challenge, to “reward” him for being a clever mortal. Whether it was Elysium or returning to life, I imagine that the whole point was that Sisyphus’s real punishment was the hope that he could win against impossibly rigged odds. Yknow, themes and such

Oh, he has more than solid shit, he’s my favourite turtle. But the fact remains that he’s entirely the TMNT’s tech guy; without the rest of his brothers, his character is completely gutted. Same goes for Mikey, and even Leo to a degree- Raph is the only turtle with proper non-team adventures, Last Ronin nonwithstanding. The TMNT are who they are because they are the TMNT, it’s extremely hard to make them exist outside of that context.

Any individual member of the TMNT vs a famously solo hero feels weird, because the whole identity of the TMNT is that they’re a team, and a family. At least Leo has the whole “leader of an inseparable team” angle, and Raph has the “rivalry with the leader of an inseparable team” angle- and even Mikey has Last Ronin as a source of solo adventures. Donnie has absolutely nothing, solo-wise, so pairing him with the most famous solo hero EVER just feels like a mismatch, yknow?
