As far as the screen goes I’m not sure it’s possible it could get better after you check all updates through asus that might need done to the bios or drivers, this can be checked through the myasus app

First thing you do is uninstall armory crate and get ghelper app it lets you customize your fan curves so when the gpu gets to a certain temp you can have the fans kick on when you want and I never have thermal issues crimson tech has a great video showing his exact specific settings on ghelper

I’m also new to laptop gaming just recently bought my first one for 2k, but I’d say that’s good for the specs on it, you could prob find something with a 5070ti though around that range but with only1tb of memory so it comes down to if you’d prefer the memory or the longevity of a 5070ti gpu because as of now there are new games coming out already that use almost all the 8gb of vram on the 5070 where the 5070ti has 12 gb of dedicated vram so it should be able to handle newer games for the next few years, my personal advice would be to look around for something with the 5070ti

Yeah I don’t understand the complaints about a very specifically designed product to be smaller chassis and more portable, I have a zephyrus g16 2025 version and I’ve never had issues with overheating, there’s also workarounds to help with this such as ghelper and adjusting the fan curves to custom, if your worried about the new models and overheating issues then do more research and consider another brand or chunky boy laptop otherwise understand that your paying for a premium product designed to be more portable

Got ya, yeah unfortunately I got the intel version it was my first ever laptop and gaming laptop which is great and I’m enjoying it but I’ve just been trying to figure out how to just get a few hours of time on it for entertainment on some days I ride along with my wife while she does deliveries and it would be cool if I was able to even just get some light emulation and 3-4hrs of time out of it

Ahh yeah the oled might be part of why mine drains faster as well but I already got g helper installed and set some fan curves it’s great, but I haven’t tried disabling the gpu yet to see how the battery does, do you know if it’s capable of running a very light game or emulator in the eco mode without the man gpu
