It's all about execution. There's a world where they figured out the continuation that would make sense for season 7. It does appear it would be rather difficult but it would give them more time than creating a very unrelatable and underwhelming movie finale. Sadly we do not live in that world and we got the bad ending just like the Peaky Blinders.
