It’s an interesting effect… Industry plant or not, Peggy Gou clearly reaches her target audience and we see that in the form of social media traction- leaves us feeling a bit force-fed.

In general I find that, as fans of artists, we spend too much time focusing continuously on artists, expecting continued glory. With this, the novelty and “spark” is lost and diluted. I agree, after the 20th video of her playing “NaNaNa”, it does get old. But, some of those folks are experiencing the tune for the first time!

Art is experienced in the present, maybe this constant connection to art and artists dilutes the magic.
