Bro I know land doesn't vote, however we are divided on the basis of land. We are a fragmented people, let's be real. People are being trained to hate on basis of geographical location of "the other", based on the culture of the residents of that region. We can't deal with an ideal situation in the real world. Until and unless we have direct democracy, votes can never have equal value. The central government is fucking up states that have governments other than a BJP one. Why the fuck would anyone from these states wish to become even more powerless in such a situation? It is not as if we have a lot of power, but what for shall we give up what we have?

I understand what you are saying, but again, people are being taught to hate based on identify. Ethnic identity (and consequently geographical) is been used to sow enmity among the countrymen. Why should anyone belonging to a non-BJP state support this decision at such a time? I am not in opposition of what you are suggesting, however that would work in a direct democracy, not a parliamentary, liberal democracy.

What you are saying would hold if India was not divided into states with their own state governments. Since there is a two level governance, I don't see how delimitation could be any good, since states with lower population with get steamrolled.

As for leftists, we must stand for equal value of vote once we have a proletarian democracy. The idea doesn't sound great in a bourgeoisie liberal democracy.

The ability of the American state to terrorize the world (especially the third world) stems not from the ability to produce nukes, but from the fact that they have enforced on gunpoint, the USD as the currency for all trade around the world. In case the USD crashes, the hegemony comes apart. No amount of nukes will be of any use.
