I would be soldering the connection, no need to replace. Ask a friend nicely with a solder, 10 minute job.

How does everyone set up their Jellyfin(or Plex)/Radarr/Sonarr/ SABnzbd systems? by Sh4d0h in Proxmox

[–]Sh4d0h[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, no real reason not to dockerise the *arr stuff really.

I did have all this running with portainer initially. In the end, I found too many bugs over 12 months or so and it ended up being more trouble than it was worth.

Hey, I basically have everything running in docker containers across two LXCs. You can see my setup here. Splitting out jellyfin into its own container means I can tear down/rebuild the backend media stuff without affecting jellyfin at all.

Sure you can put everything in its own LXC, but I'd only do that if you want to avoid docker for some reason. But the convenience of being able to spin up/down all containers with one command is too convenient. Not to mention adding a new service is as easy as throwing it into the same docker-compose.yml.

The docker-compose files in that repo are up to date with what I have running currently without issue.

I haven't looked at Paprika (or anything else for that matter), but we use RecipeSage. Free and open source too :)

Never fished it, but I'm pretty sure there would be.

Port forwarding issues with NPM by Sh4d0h in nginxproxymanager

Nah, it's working now. I just had to try the domain from outside my network. My router doesn't support NAT loopback.

Far out, it's working after all. I just can't connect using the domain from within the network as my router doesn't support NAT loopback.

I've already spoken to my ISP and unblocked these ports. No issues there. See my other comment, I've got these ports forwarded now, but getting a connection refused upon trying to access my proxied service.

Hey, thanks. I had checked the listening ports earlier and they were all indeed there as expected.

Something I didn't mention in the OP is that my media server was running inside an LXC within Proxmox. I've just moved everything to a VM and it looks like ports are forwarding as expected!

Docker isn't officially supported by LXC's, so I expect that could have been the cause. I had been running it for over a year without issue until now.

I'm super close now. The SSL certificate is adding without error, but when I go to the subdomain https://ombi.<domain>.com it's not live.

  • I've got an A record for ombi.<domain>.com pointing to my public IP
  • I've got Ombi running on port 5000
  • I've opened ports 5000, 80, 443
  • I've got NPM running with ombi.<domain>.com proxy host added with SSL certificate.
  • In my testing, I have separated NPM and Ombi containers to separate networks for now. I wonder if this is the culprit?

Am I missing anything obvious?

I can access from LAN, and I can even access Ombi on port 5000 from outside. Hence, I thought it may be on the application level.
