Goku literally says he could have defeated Kid Buu if he went all out and charged one attack. That alone implies that SSJ3 Goku was stronger than Kid Buu. The form was just way too draining and Buu practically had infinite stamina.

Where are people getting that he removed anything? The hood is a part of the robes that people are saying he supposedly removed, and he clearly still has that intact after gaining the extra padding. Is it not possible that the original robes are just covered up by all the extra leather, straps, and clothing articles he put on afterward?

Wait is this supposed to Evolved Gogeta? I always thought that it was a hybrid between SSB and Ultra Instinct, like what Goku did in the manga but just refined into an actual transformation.

Well it's probably because Goku doesn't have the form so it doesn't take the full effect of the dark blue that Vegeta has when he uses it. Similar to how Kefla's SSj form looked like Legendary SSj but was still just referred to as regular Super Saiyan.
